That screen is 16:9 format. I called and asked. The woman wasn't sure about the material of the screen though.

I can see why you would want that then. There is something for every application and if this is going in your family room (where I doubt you have total control over ambient light) then you might be better off with a matte white screen. High contrast does lower overall brightness (which you'll need all you can get unless you have a dedicated screening room or only plan to watch at night).

If you think he won't notice the SDE...then you're just naive. It won't be horrible, but that projector still exhibits it. That being said, it's a great PJ.

I will test it out on the wall and what sort of performance I get. Both of us work and very rarely watch TV/movies during day so projector will be used at night(primarily).

Room is about 25 feet long so sitting distance of 1.5x is not a problem either.

Thanks for the insult....twit.

BTW I said he'd notice very little (if any at all) SDE when sitting 1.5x or greater the screen width back. I can pick out SDE on the best DLP made if I stand right on top of the screen.

<-- Runs a ScreenPlay 5000, 110" diag, 14.5' throw. Do not notice SDE

Go climb back under the bridge...

It's here and the picture is freakin awesome. Projector was delivered to me at work so I only did a quick test with my laptop DVD player and VGA cable but WOW the picture and color are awesome without any tweaking at all.

I will post pictures once I hook it up at home.
