Call the police, "yes, I'm at <location> and cannot park in the handicapped spot because there is a Ferrari blocking half the spot. Would you guys mind towing it out of the way?"

Yea, that would be the way to handle it, scratching a car is as lowlife as parking there in the end. I get kind of worked up about it since my spouse is handicapped and those spots are important to us..

they would say they will send someone out to look at it..eventually. maybe an hour or two latter they might send a squad car to look.

You can fix that by anonymously saying that two black males left the car and one of them appeared to be carrying a gun tucked behind his shirt. In most of the higher-end neighborhoods around here you'd have at least 4 squad cars and a K9 unit there in 10 minutes tearing the car apart.

Of course, nevermind the fact that the definition of "handicapped" has been blown way out of proportion. I berate a buddy regularly for the handicapped plates he has (not placard, but actual PLATES) because of his bad back. This is the same guy who works 6/50, smokes 3 packs a day and has no problem walking anywhere we've ever gone.

If handicapped folks want sympathy on the parking situation, I need to see a handicapped revolution first. Otherwise, enjoy the max 100 yard stroll to the door of Wally world or the local pharmacy whilst remembering how difficult mobility must've been for folks pre-industrial revolution.

This does happen here in FL and the laws are being reviewed to try to eliminate those "fringe" cases where handicap placards were given to individuals that don't really need them. We also have a guy at work who works 50/hrs week standing, but has a handicap placard and parks in the only handicap spot in the lot, I deride him on this on a regular basis, I might even turn him in to the DMV. To folks like my wife who is wheelchair bound parking in the handicap spot is really helpful to us..

I can understand about bragging about your car, lord knows I have. It's just a completely different level to brag about you and a friend being an ass about something like a handicap spot.

Full disclosure, I was only there long enough to pick someone up. 🙁

A), Your not in the car, "picking someone up"? no, your parked there. B), it's a handicap spot, not a "passenger pickup area" you should have immediately straightened out the car, not get out and take a pic of your arrogance. C), I suggest you find some humility somewhere before some stranger explains it to you by beating your ass or trashing your expensive toy..

404 douche not found. Ferrari looks like it's barely over the line. Now lets see a wider shot with more of the Tahoe...looks like he's the one blocking a handicap spot.

It's a bit of a dick move, but the angle of the camera makes it look worse than it probably was. It's rather interesting to see this get rather intense reactions from various angles.

I always park almost right on the strip when beside a handicapped spot. Handicapped spots are huge and "those" people have more than enough room to get in or out. I always try to find spots at the end of the row and park on the outer most line. I don't get why more people don't do it, I guess they like having the risk of scratches/bangs increased.

For this photo yea guy might be a douche because that is a small handicapped spot...

Those "people" need the space so a wheelchair can be brought to the car and the person transferred to the chair. Yes, they make custom conversion vehicles but they are very, very expensive.

Yup, he's even worse, should be towed off at his expense. Some handicap means wheelchair user and that's were the space is needed..

Don't take it out on the car, thats dumber than the idiot who parked in the handicapped spot.

Give the owner an earful, or, call the cops. Thats what they are there for.

Messing with someone's vehicle is chickenshit.

Hahah this makes me think of the F458 review on Top Gear where Clarkson was being a huge cock to James May about his F430 😀

F430 is still cool though.

1. He's trolling.
2. You are all falling for it.
3. He's a lawyer. Morally right and morally wrong gets blurred the longer you are one.

I did that to the principal of my high school, when she parked in a handicapped spot. Her car (an Isuzu Impulse - remember those?) was towed at great expense. If memory serves, this was a $250 ticket, and we are talking 1988 dollars. She was righteously pissed . . .

yeah we looked at one for my father-in-law. good god they were expensive. I did find a "grant" that would pay $3k and install the equipment for free. but even then it was over 45k

I know it's a bit douchey to park like that, but I see large SUVs take up so much space all the time that effectively leave this little space on one or both sides. Also, I've been forced to park like that (not next to a HC spot, but anyway) because the guy on the other side was way over the line. To someone who sees my car later, I look like a douche. Just saying its not always a choice to park so close.
