Yea, now Windows 2003 server has a bit more level of a playing field to compete with Linux on true long term stability, because you don't have to sacrifice as much security for uptime. I still doubt it will be able to hit the multi-year uptime records as easily as some of the BSDs and Linux can.Originally posted by: shuttleteam

I had about 3.5-4 months on a Linux box running RC5 24/7 and doing a PProxy. I had to shut it down because I was having the electrice upgraded in my house. The box just sat int he corner doing it's thing.
