Yeah it is. Unfortunately it's not going to be used as the IOC or somebody won't let Chicago use it because it infringes on some design trademark because it looks too much like the official torch image or some BS. It was all over our news a few weeks back.

It seems even more of a shame to be barred from using it now that I've seen this London disaster.
 
I still can't get over the fact, that the BBC accepted this particular "user-contributed" alternative logo for display on their website and on national TV.

The newsreader just has the perfect position - staring it out right down the middle.

Ok, as is all of the above wasn't enough, I've just read that there are grounded fears that the new logo could cause epileptic seizures!!

Did you guys see the website for the logo designer, Wolff Olins?

I swear....when that huge close-up of that eye popped up on my web browser, I nearly freaked out. And that's the company they choose for this?

That's just awful...

I can tell that it says "2012" in some kind of stupid, abstract, blocky PINK font. The 1 and the 2 at the bottom look like they are having buttsecks.

Hmmm... pink and buttsecks. This is not a case of only seeing what I want to see! 😉
