I still like it every time it's on, even if it's a sub par one ... anything is better then what the simpsons turned into.

It is sad that i can watch almost any episode from seasons 1-10 and be entertained. Then i watch any new episode and it's just a bunch of music montages and horrible uninspired jokes.

I'll agree that 1-10 were probably the best...but the current still is still gold ... every once in a while 🙂.

I get what Matt and Trey are saying: You guys are all becoming a bunch of cynical assholes because you don't like this season, and maybe you should just move on.

I've enjoyed every episode this season, so I'm looking forward to more. 🙂

OOoooorrrrrrrr.....is it commentary on Arnold Schwarzenegger's fun last week?

Well, there was nothing about sex/cheating whatsoever. It was written in such a way that it could have just as easily been Trey and Matt sitting in an interview delivery Sharon and Randy's lines.

I hadn't thought of it like that. That would definitely fit the theme of the episode. Stan turns another year older, and all the sudden, the stuff he used to like, he now hates, and thinks it's shitty -- just because he's a cynical asshole now, and the only thing that's changing is YOU. South Park is still the same foul-mouthed, gross-out, off-the-wall show it's been since day one. I don't think it's stagnating at all.

Personally, I think South Park is still in its prime. This season has had its share of AWESOME and average episodes, and definitely hasn't showed signs of its looming death. If Matt and Trey did decide to end it, I'm sure it'd be because they're burnt out, not because the show is suffering.

That how I think I (and a lot of people) treat video games. A lot of people complain about how games aren't as good as they used to be, but really I think we have plenty of great games and just a ton of cynical ass holes.

So because we change, our opinions change? But the creators stay the same? What a load of bullshit. They make some shitty episodes sometimes, man the hell up

Yeah, I think that's a realization a lot of PC gamers need to come to grips with. True, they don't make RPGs with the depth of Baldur's Gate anymore, but at the same time, I think acceptance level for mediocre games was much higher at the time. When you're a young kid, video games are just awesome in and of themselves, now as adults, we're not as easily entertained, unfortunately.

🙁 I was disappointed there wasn't a Charlie Sheen episode. Maybe that would have been too easy for them.

Did every have the 5 minute Duke Nukem ad at the start of the episode, or was it only in certain markets? I actually thought it was a brilliant way to spend marketing dollars as there probably isn't a more ideal target audience out there.

I saw the extended ad.. I guess the ad was broadcasted nationwide. It was cool.

Have you seen Dances with Smurfs from Season 12?

I guess that last episode was open to interpretation on WTF they were going for. Would be nice if they made things more clear. The episode didn't make much sense to me, especially the odd ending. There have been a lot of bad episodes the past few seasons, but it's still worth watching because when the episodes are good, they're really good.

a lot of the episodes are beyond cryptic in what they are trying to say, and it's even worse when it's not even funny

Yeah I don't mind if they're trying to preach something, or get across some point, which they almost always are, but the number 1 priority is that it needs to be funny.

This season has been fair so far, I think the centipad episode was easily the best one. The rest might have given me a chuckle or two. Hope they are not running out of ideas.

I mean they have quite a bit to work off of. Charlie Sheen, Osama bin Laden getting killed, the protest all over the middle east, Casey Anthony trial, etc....

I really thought the Royal Wedding and the Funnybot episodes were pretty garbage.

I think this has been the weakest season yet, but despite what some others think, the last 5 seasons were as strong as any of them. City Sushi was great though since I love the City Wok character so much haha.

"...and then in a week it just all resets..."

On that premise then, next week it'll be as if this episode never happened.
Guess we'll find out.

(Come on, britches, we're settin' you free!)

I thought exactly what TheVrolok did when I Saw that scene. Its not the first time they used characters to mimic their own thoughts (remember Stan at the end of the Scientology episode?)

This would actually be a good poll: Were they talking about the viewers getting older and more cynical, or themselves and their relationship with the show?

Just in case this hasn't been posted, here is the interview which states the show will go through 2013.

"the pair hurtles into the 15th season of South Park, part of a new pact with Comedy Central that keeps the show on the air through 2013 and is said to be even richer than their previous $75 million deal."
