it's funny to laugh at people who are worse off than we are. but imagine yourself stuck in the suburb with a decreasing number of jobs available, gas getting more expensive, and you're still hit with the monthly bills and the expenses of sending your children to school. it's not as simple as "oh lets move to NYC where there are lots of jobs" or "oh lets starve ourselves for a month eating nothing at all so we can lose 100 lbs".
Sorry, but this, "Nunez, 40, has never worked and has no high school degree. She says a car accident 17 years ago left her depressed and disabled, incapable of getting a job.", tells me all I need to know. Unless she's in permanent hospital care (which she obviously isn't), she's not "incapable of getting a job". She made stupid choices in her past and now she's paying for them. It's as simple as that.

I tend to agree with that. Also, what did she do from the time she quit school until she was 23 (time of accident)?
Watched TV
Pretty much. I have no compassion for people like this. There are just too many things I find objectionable reading the article.
Hell, at least the mothers standing. I know people who can't even do that yet even they can support themselves. The accident was probably a minor fender bender, and she's been claiming whiplash and back injury ever since. Shes probably too stupid to realize her disability is that she is 300 pounds overweight.
I hate welfare.
