The only thing I know (or care about) is that they keep putting out "Fatal1ty products" that are at best, mediocre and way overpriced. The Zalman heatsink looks pretty, and SUPPOSEDLY has like, a 1C improvement in temps (who cares?), but it cost somewhere around $20-$30 more because it's got his name on it. I could understand mice or keyboards, if it's something that gives him a miniscule improvement in playing, but a frigging heatsink? I could care less about him endorsing crap, but not overpriced crap that really has nothing to do with gaming per se.

Met him a few times in real life. Once at a small LAN get together (4-5 of us) at a friend's house, once at a party. He's a tool.

sounds like someone didn't enjoy getting owned in an FPS

Haha, he did toss my salad. I played Quake 3 with him for about 10 minutes and then got tired of getting worked. I was referring to just sitting around and talking with the guy.

its not so much that i am jealous. its the fact that he thinks he's the sh!t at what he does.

i guess i just don't like people who think they are the sh!t. i like modest people.

I'm pretty much the same way. If you're good, people will know by watching you. You don't need to act like you're the best or talk about how good you are.

There are few things more annoying than a braggart or a gloater.

I saw it, good piece, & that guy can sure kick ass.

I guess if I was best I'd be cocky too.

Liked the part where he moved in with his dad after his mom wouldn't allow him to attempt to go pro.:D

No we are all just sitting here drooling in our luddite cups.

you know that is probably what he does, too. gets on anandtech or some forum and just laughs.

So he's 24 and still lives with his parents, but he's won like half a million in tournament money. WTF! Anyone else notice he was playing on some ****** 17" crt monitor in his basement. Whats he doing with all that money?

Saving it?

Seems like the smart thing to do.

If I had a half a mil I would own my own house, not live in my parents basement.

Eh, what is he gonna do if one day he wakes up and sucks at video games? Go back to tech support making $10/hr?

If I were in his shoes, I'd wait until I seal some endorsement deal, not just placing everything on just collecting prize money.

Which, watching the video, seems like he has done.. I didn't realize the "Fatal1ty" products were named after him, I thought he took his name from the products. Since that's the case I dunno why he's still living at home...

EH, he is 24 and lives at home. Pay cash for a house, then you can make $10 and hour and still be able to afford it. No excuse for living at home with the parents unless they are ill and you are taking care of them.

To be a "Professional" just means you have to make the majority of your income doing whatever. You can be a professional dog walker if you wanted to, so how do professional and gamer not belong together?

I fav segment is how he says hes physically fit to improve his "nuro-transmitters" Another thing, yeah Painkiller champion.....that game was not a huge hit nor is it really played at all anymore....Congrats Fat, you are the tallest midget!

you're not very knowledgeable about the scene so making a statement like that isn't very favorable. he won the painkiller championship after winning championships in unreal tournament and quake 3 when they were the top games. now that quake 4 is the top game he will probably win a few championships in that.

and that "tallest midget" is making a 6 figure salary so i'd say he's done well for himself.
6 figures living in a crappy house playing on a foldout table?? Maybe hes happy...
In any case, I think its funny painkiller is the game of choice.
In any case I'd like to see him take on FPS Doug, and yes I have spoke with him about 4 years back about a business deal and his plan etc, and hes extremely arrogant, and I think hes just the flavor of the month, well see what happens in the years to come.
