I've never heard of this guy until now. They just called a lan party a "virtual woodstock".

well its not just about him, its about the giant lan parties and world wide competition. most of us know about large lan parties and stuff, but i bet most older people have no clue.

I fav segment is how he says hes physically fit to improve his "nuro-transmitters" Another thing, yeah Painkiller champion.....that game was not a huge hit nor is it really played at all anymore....Congrats Fat, you are the tallest midget!

Met him a few times in real life. Once at a small LAN get together (4-5 of us) at a friend's house, once at a party. He's a tool.

you're not very knowledgeable about the scene so making a statement like that isn't very favorable. he won the painkiller championship after winning championships in unreal tournament and quake 3 when they were the top games. now that quake 4 is the top game he will probably win a few championships in that.

and that "tallest midget" is making a 6 figure salary so i'd say he's done well for himself.

Haha, he did toss my salad. I played Quake 3 with him for about 10 minutes and then got tired of getting worked. I was referring to just sitting around and talking with the guy.

All he dreams about is buying a Ferrari to prove to his parents that gaming instead of college was the better idea. Sounds like his priorities are whacked. He should save every penny because he won't be on top of his game forever.

jealous? nope.

i gotta give the guy credit he is cashing in. Hopefully he is smart enough to do something with the money. but i really doubt it.

his success is going to crash soon and i really do not want my kids trying to emulate him.

Yeah, I can respect him for making money doing something he's good at, but I wonder how long someone can remain a professional gamer...

So he's 24 and still lives with his parents, but he's won like half a million in tournament money. WTF! Anyone else notice he was playing on some ****** 17" crt monitor in his basement. Whats he doing with all that money?
