it's like that ebay auction where someone bid on a picture of an xbox360, just not as bad.

Someone probably jumped the gun and placed a bid without realizing that it was just a dummy phone... then created a new email/ebay account and put in a big bid to get out of it.

You see this alot with guys who sell CPU boxes (without the CPU).

How does eBay allow such fraudulent actions like this take place?
Its a crazy idea... but I've heard of instances where some people actually earn a pretty good living by just scamming people on eBay
