Yeah.. I guess I would be an idiot, since I rarely use eBay

it's not a real phone.

it's like that ebay auction where someone bid on a picture of an xbox360, just not as bad.

Seller's return policy:
Return Policy Details: What you see & read is what you get nothing more nothing less. There are no refunds at all,if you have any questions pls email before bidding.

Bet most of those bids are fake, with a few exceptions

Someone probably jumped the gun and placed a bid without realizing that it was just a dummy phone... then created a new email/ebay account and put in a big bid to get out of it.

You see this alot with guys who sell CPU boxes (without the CPU).

wow... that ranks up there with the people who bought xbox 360 boxes 😛

Speaking of which, did any of those people get their money back?

Ok.. just got it now.. checked out the feedback.. wow

How does eBay allow such fraudulent actions like this take place?
Its a crazy idea... but I've heard of instances where some people actually earn a pretty good living by just scamming people on eBay

Is it really fraud though? They spell out the terms, people just don't bother to read.
