LOL

nothing wrong with being an entrepreneur.

The squalls are supposed to hit us today as the winds shift. Right now they are still to the west of us.
He is a landscape contractor (so am I), and his equipment hasn't exactly been busy here so far this season.

The Military has been called in to rescue more than 300 stranded people.

I hope everyone is ok.
Those are the folks from your video.

First comment: "I don't understand why would no one ask all the locals to get on there sleds and pick these stranded ppl up- everyone in that neighbourhood has one-"

They've got a point, instead of helicopters for everyone, this would let the police and emergency crews concentrate on coordination and injured people, and reduce the cost of this rescue by a great deal...

I know I would stay home rather than risk driving in that crap.

I heard the aircraft going by this morning, since I live near London International Airport.

LMFAO...

on top of the 30"+ that they have already received back home...

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY NIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 12 INCHES EXPECTED IN THE FAVORED LOCATIONS WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS TO 2 FEET POSSIBLE.

LOL... i guess "Chagrin Falls" just made it onto CNN regarding the snowfall... and this weekend is supposed to be "round 2"

:awe:

we only made it across Canada.

absolutely nothing happened were I am. We were supposed to get another 8-10" but there's nothing on the roads. Chances are we'll get demolished tonight/tomorrow.

I've lived in Akron/Cleveland area my whol life as well. It sucks in winter.

Columbus also has the title of gay/alternative lifestyle capital in the Midwest/East half the country.

Yep, I was an Akron/Kent person for the most part but bailed since I have little family left there. I didn't know that Columbus was the gay capitol of the region...Thank god I don't live near High St...

Columbus? how in the hell does it beat out Toledo?

Holy shit. You Midwesterners live in hell. Dante's inferno has an icy, cold level at the bottom, you know...
I'll never complain about texas summers again!
I moved to TX from IA. I'd trade TX summers for Midwest winters any day of the week. Bring on the cold!

This week storm hasn't been as bad as last weeks storm here. I'm about 25 miles south of Erie Pa.
It's been really cold & windy & it's more of a visibility problem than anything. Since Sunday i probably only have about 8-10 inches of new snow here.

Last week(Dec. 5-8) it started snowing on Saturday night/Sunday morning, by Monday evening it was hip deep at my house & it didn't stop till Wednesday. Close to 5 ft. by the time it was done.
