I guess the other day, cleveland got around 8" of snow in the downtown area... however, the official report of snow fall for cleveland was 0 as the airport got no snow...

So, the original post was talking about snowfall estimates for sunday through monday... estimates total around 30" of snow for my hometown...

and now...

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY NIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 12 INCHES EXPECTED IN THE FAVORED LOCATIONS WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS TO 2 FEET POSSIBLE.

LOL... i guess "Chagrin Falls" just made it onto CNN regarding the snowfall... and this weekend is supposed to be "round 3"

Dear Old Man Winter,
Please die.

Signed,
Everyone who needs to drive or do anything remotely productive during winter.

(I'm in Erie, PA. "Lake effect snow" is just about constant. The forecast for most days in winter is "30% chance of snow showers.")

Holy shit. You Midwesterners live in hell. Dante's inferno has an icy, cold level at the bottom, you know...

I'll never complain about texas summers again!

Lake shields my ass from virtually all snow. We had rain all weekend, only just started snowing.

Glad I finally bought a real winter jacket.

Yeah, I'll never live anywhere with lake effect snow. Midwest weather is always bad enough.

Just to the southwest of us they had over 5 ft of snow in 2 days from lake-effect, we had like 6 inches only.

If I lived in an area with lake effect snow I'd either move or kill myself.

Lake effect snow is insane.

I made a thread last week about the snow that hit us. Over 1 meter of lake effect snow brought our city to its knees.

it's crazy... my parents house can get like 15" and then a mile away can get only 6...

That's the one nice thing about winter in Toledo: we're in a little pocket of terrain that doesn't really get much in the way of lake effect snow.

NE Ohio, extreme NW Ohio and NE Indiana... they get dumped on from time to time. Toledo is far enough away from Lake Michigan that we don't get much, and being on the extreme Western shore of Lake Erie means we are almost always safe from Erie's winter wrath. Though if the winds decide to go SW, we could get that nasty shit. Happens fairly rarely it seems.

We got 2 FEET or snow in St Paul. For whatever reason, the city declared 2 snow emergencies. It's like a wasteland out there...
