Hey guys, I just bought a brand new pair of Z640's from buy.com.
I have an MSI motherboard with onboard sound. I also have the S-Bracket that came with it. MSI manual said to put the front speakers in the lineout on the motherboard. The center and subwoofer on the lineout in the s-Bracket, and the Rear speakers on the other input on the S-Bracket. Well, I plugged it in right, and everything going to the subwoofer is plugged in right according to the color.
Well, when I access MSI sound effects manager, I click on the front speakers on the screen and they start to make noise. The rear speakers DO, I repeat they DO make noise when I click on them on the screen. However, when I am playing game, music, or DVD. The rear speakers don't seem to be giving any sound. Is it because of MSI's S-Bracket and onboard sound. What is the problem? I know the rear speakers work, becuase they have sound when I click on them in the MSI Sound Manager.
Should I get a new sound card. I was looking for the Sound Blaster Live 5.1. I think it is around $30-$40. What is wrong with my rear speakers. Somebody please tell me. If anybody has the MSI board and S-Bracket and relpied that would be amazing.
Please help me. Thanks
