Logitech Z-3 2.1 Speakers $11.99 after MIR x2

Buy.com is selling the Logitech Z-3 2.1 Speakers for $56.99.

There are two rebates available,

one from Logitech, and the other from GreatFun

The Logitech rebate requires both original UPC code label and buy.com receipt.

For the GreatFun rebate, original UPC bar code is not required, only active membership and Buy.com receipt. Simply cancel within 8 weeks to avoid GreatFun membership fees. There is a thread dedicated to the GreatFun rebate/promotion deal at this FatWallet thread.

Logitech Rebate - $20.00

GreatFun Rebate - $25.00 (for Buy.com orders over $50)

Final Price = $56.99 - $20.00 - $25.00 = $11.99 with Free Shipping

It seemed like a decent deal to me. I purchased the set before 9/5/04 so I was able to apply my 5% off Buy.com coupon. If there are still some coupons floating around, you can make this deal even sweeter (the 5% made my deal a little over $9).

Where is the GreatFun Rebate, and is it still valid? My speakers just died, and I'm looking for some decent replacments.

cant seem to find this "greatfun" rebate

pricegrabber's lowest price for these brushed aluminum z-3 speakers is $47, not including the $20 logitech rebate

the speakers get great reviews online, definitely worth it to anyone who wants the wooden look or needs any kind of speakers at all

this deal is actually hot, but those rebates are going to keep me away, particularly that suspicious greatfun one

I have been receiving some PMs regarding this deal and especially regarding the GreatFun rebate and membership.

I signed up for GreatFun on the September 6th shortly after my purchase at Buy.com.

I received this email on the 9th:

Again, I'll let you guys know how this turns out. The Logitech rebate expires on the 30th and the GreatFun rebate doesn't seem to expire for another year, so definitely I should be able to have some results before this deal dies.

these are great speakers. got some for my fiancee. they look cool too. way more powerful than you'd think.

I placed my order last night, clicked on the Great Fun link afterwards to sign up, but I have yet to receive an e-mail with a link to the the $25 rebate. The only e-mail I've received from Great Fun is my "Welcome to GreatFun!" e-mail that has my member info, etc. The whole thing just seems shady.

my apologies, OP... i clicked on GreatFun instead of other, coulda sworn i tried that link...

either way, keep us posted on the status of that GreatFun coupon, if it goes through it would sweeten any deal from Buy.com

What can i say? I'm cheap and I have plenty of dead time at work... haha.

How did the whole *you know what* situation play out? Did you get into any serious trouble? :frown:

jobless,

Unfortunately, if you look closely at the rebate page I posted, you may only have one rebate up to $25 every 3-4 months, totaling $100. Thus, I am sorry that I cannot provide you with my membership number as I have already used this rebated for my Logitech Z-3 purchase.

Regards,
Aoshi

I listened to and looked at these speakers the other day at local computer shop - they sell for $90 and are said to be the shop's best selling speakers...

It will be nice to get these for $9 instead of $90!!! Thank OP. I typed in Logitech in AT's search hoping to find a better price than $90 - I guess I came to the right place!! You rock! Even if the $25 rebate doesn't work, I'll be happy!

OK, wait, a little correction... this deal is actually very, very hot!!

And one other thing, when I was at the store, I laughed at something on the "features" list on the box for these speakers... I think it said "Convenient Wired Remote Control" LOL, I don't care about the remote control, though, already got a really cool wireless remote.

Hey OP, why do the rebate forms from the greatfun site have expiration dates in 2005? Are you sure those rebates are for the months July, August, September of 2004, or are they for the months July, August, September of 2005? Just checking.
