Been using mine for months, pretty damn good headset with a few quirks/problems. Aside from that pretty solid gaming headset with good sound considering its wireless.

What kind of issues did you have? I saw a few on the amazon reviews, but most of the people leaving the reviews seemed...dense so I didnt put much stock into them.

Good price, though I had issues with them in an apartment. All of the wireless congestion led to some connection issues. They work fine now that I'm in a house.

+1, been using these with no major problems for about a year now. Pretty reliable for a wireless headset. Just realized last month that you can technically charge from a standard micro-USB, which is a plus. The programmable buttons work with Windows and other popular software like Spotify out-of-the-box and are insanely useful for listening to stuff afk. The logitech software driver is also surprisingly good although a bit pushy since it makes me feel bad that I have only 1 logitech product haha.

For audiophiles this headset may not be the right choice because of a relatively small physical driver size (40mm I believe) and mediocre bass, but for $70 you can't really complain. The worst thing I've encountered is that the pre-amp is locked to -3db unless you manually install an older version of the driver because I think someone sued logitech or something a while ago. Also there is a fair amount of noise, but this is to be expected from a wireless headset.

There are some issues with the headset spontaneously power cycling during use, which can be frustrating if you are in the middle of a game. Apparently this behavior is somewhat widespread (there are a few complaints on the forums), but from my personal experience it only occurs when I'm behind a wall >15 feet from my computer.

Another potential issue is that the headset has no auto-off function and will stay on all the way until the battery is drained if you forget to turn it off.

Also it can get annoying to use this headset if you have certain Realtek mobo-integrated audio card drivers, since it takes around 5 minutes for Windows to recognize the headset after plugging in the antenna. Not a game-changer though.

From my experience the battery life is really around 7 hours or so, and I'm already seeing noticeable degradation at the 1 year mark. Logitech does sell replacement batteries but they are a huge pain to install.

Ordered. I am on my second pair of Turtle Beach X42s and just last week the second pair stopped working. It turns on but it will not pair. I fixed the issue before, but could not get it to work after trying it on two other PCs I have.
I love them dearly, but I am so damn tired of dealing with the problems they can create. The first set had the left speaker go bad on me after a year. The second set has the pairing problem. If these Logitechs last me more than 2 years, I will be satisfied.

What older software version resolves the bass issues ? Also, I could not find out the length of the warranty on them.

pluto dabbled in the main gripe I have about these, they have some bizarre power issues. Not sure if this is unique to me or others have the problem but:
1. I cannot turn them on if they're on the charging cable, I always have to power it on then connect them to the charging cable.
2. Quite frustrating at times is that it'll just randomly restart itself or at the very least seemingly drop and re-sync the wireless connection to the base. I suppose its the wireless dropping as pluto has the same issue, but I have mine occur when I'm sitting in front of the computer connected to the charging base or in my kitchen fixing a quick snack. I don't even have a lot of wireless interference and only a few networks in the area.
3. The battery life beeping! Useful feature to say, hey you're low on battery life and I like it. I don't like it beeping at me when it says it has 3 hours left on the battery though since I don't consider that imminent death, but maybe just my opinion.

As I said before, these sound pretty damn good for a wireless gaming headset and have useful functionality even for Skype users since you have an easily accessible mute button and just putting the mic up auto mutes it. The ability to bind media playback to the buttons was also super useful for me. I'm in a phase right now where I listen to music more than voice chat due to work hours so I prefer my studio monitors, but I still enjoy the headset a lot. Does have its problems though.

Also have these, works pretty well. Problem is, I can't seem to find that USB stick that is comes with. I guess I'll have to get another one of those.

Mine have broken in 3 places but I fixed them with the Hot Glue Gun. I was gentle on them and these are known issues so when they do break and trust me they will break first see if they are under warranty to get a replacement. if not under warranty and the wires dont break you can fix them with a hot glue gun. The downside is once you hot glue them they are specific to you. I put the headset on my head and had them hot glue the ear pieces in place at the correct angle for my head. Both ear pieces are hot glued in place and it will be a miracle if they break. The third to my amazement to break was the elbow on the mic. I hot glued that back together as well. I am tempted to replace them when these deals come along but am holding out as long as humanly possible to see if they revamp the design and fix these flaws that I experienced. They are great headsets I love them and even love my hot glued set they just have a design flaw I hope the logitech fixes. Who knows maybe they have fixed the issue Ive experienced.

Fwiw, I wore mine almost every day for 3+ hours for 2+ years. I don't use them as often anymore, but they're structurally as good as new.

I've had mine for over a year, and ever with my 2 year old messing with them, they still look like new and I've easily got 500 hours of gaming on them.

My complaints are the plastic creaking they make if its quiet or you have no audio playing and you move your head and adjust...they just creak a bit. And the wireless range is pretty pathetic. They work fine in my 10x10 office, but I can't even go to the kitchen 15 feet away without them cutting in and out. They are also a pain to correctly configure in TeamSpeak.

My previous Turtle Beach set was incredibly simple because when you "flip the switch" from PS3/XBOX to PC, it redetect them and sets the system default input/output to them. When you switched back to PS3/XBOX it changed the default back to your sound card, effectively turning your speakers from the soundcard back on. But they had pretty crappy sound for anything outside of gaming, and even in gaming they had no real virtual 7.1 support.

The G930's, easiest/only quick way to disable them is to unplug the USB receiver from the front of my PC.

I'm going to look into the Steelseries H. They look amazing, but Steelseries is incredibly hit-or-miss as a brand. I've had some incredibly crappy stuff from them, most of it high end, and the best stuff I've had from them was the cheap stuff like a $40 Sensei Raw...the best FPS mouse I've used since the original Razor Boomslang.

Also FWIW Mine are still kicking hot glued and all they are over 2 years old and I see just a touch of the earcups wearing away. I would buy them again at the price above but Im holding as long as humanly possible.

If they could make LG Tone's with 7.1 it would be game over.

Sounds like they should be ok, they are for my 7 year old for christmas, he mostly just plays minecraft. I think he wants them solely because he thinks its what older gamers do.

It's not? :D

Well, yeah but thats really his sole reason for wanting them. For some reason he buys into this new wave of gamer bullcrap and watches other people playing games on youtube and twitch etc, and sees these guys with headsets and now he wants one...I made the choice to go wireless because a cord would get destroyed in no time.

If he's careful with his things, it'll be a good investment. Mine have lasted for 4+ years, and they work pretty well too.

This is the set that I have, quite happy with it overall though they do keep your head pretty toasty when it's hot.

I am on my 2nd pair but Logitech replaced the first free of charge. I had a problem where it would power off intermittently (like every few minutes or more often even while plugged in) but I've now had this second pair longer than I had the first and they've been solid all the while. It does have a quirk in that I seem to need to press and hold the power button twice for a few seconds in order to actually turn them on, but can't say I care.

Also great price, I paid $100+ and consider it money well spent considering I'd already busted three $20 wired headsets simply by the wire catching on my stuff. Plus no wires while playing is quite nice.

Oh hes awesome with his stuff, my 4 year old daughter on the other hand would be the one to destroy it...
