MX500 mouse was great. Wore it out.
Replaced with MX518. Great. Haven't worn it out yet, though it shows signs of wear 😛
Then I took apart the MX500 and replaced the left clicker (soldered a replacement button in it) and gave it to my brother. He still uses that mouse 😀
My other brother is also using an MX518 that replaced his piece of junk Razer mouse.
Hm, I wonder if logitech support could help me and my brother out with our Z-560 speaker sets. Both of us are having control pod issues after all these years (my fade control goes all crackly when I touch it and the bass control it twitchy, my brother's set the volume knob is about shot). Maybe logitech has replacement pods stashed someplace...
Quite likely they will replace the pod. I haven't had any issues with my z-5500 set, but I've heard of Logitech replacing entire speaker sets to fix even a small issue. Those might be extraordinary cases, but I wouldn't doubt if Logitech at least replaces the control pod.
What's funny is I hear all these great stories of Logitech replacing accessories. Of all my Logitech accessories, not one has caused any problems. Hopefully if I ever do have to replace something, it's painless, but at least I haven't even needed them yet.
Logitech Z-5500, a couple different Logitech keyboards, I now have a Logitech G700 after owning Razer for a few years (still not sure on this mouse though, ergonomics may not work for my grip.. still giving it a thorough trial with BF3), G35 headset, G25 wheel, G13 board, Harmony One, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
An accessory being replaced is usually because I've started to look for different functions/features and the Logitech model isn't satisfying me anymore. Keyboard got replaced with a Razer Lycosa (not sure about this yet), but what I really want is a Blackwidow Stealth but they are out of stock until mid/late December (mechanical keyboard with Cherry Brown switches, the regular Blackwidow has Cherry Blue switches and the click-clack is annoying and too loud for my environment)... so still unsure about what I'm going to do. I just want a true switch keyboard, and the scissor-switches on the Lycosa are at least on par with my old Logitech G110's membrane keys but missing some of the functionality of that board.
