about 6 years ago I purchased an MX5000 keyboard/mouse combo. A part of it failed for some reason sometime towards the end of its 3 year warranty, I don't even remember what failed. Anyways Logitech was kind enough to ship me out a brand new MX5500 3 years ago. Fast forward to the last few weeks I have been getting an occasional "connection loss" error on my keyboard but not the mouse. I called the tech support and followed all of the trouble shooting steps, nothing seemed to work. I called back today and they are going to give me another brand new MX5500 set!!! The crazy thing is im 3 years and 1 month into it so the warranty technically expired.

Needless to say the 150$ I spent nearly 6 years ago was really worth it, Logitech products aren't the cheapest but at least they make up for it with great service and support.

But I've never had anything Logitech break on me.

Even my PS2 headset still works.

Yup. I will always be loyal to logitech products for this reason.

I have a pile of MX5000 keyboards and mice in a closet. None of them every worked right. It's just a terrible product, but you're right, they back up their products with great customer support.

really? did you ever even use any of their advanced features or really utilized the screen? I never use it for anything more than a basic keyboard and occasionally the volume controls.

I'm a big fan of logitech products (typing on a logitech MK550 comfort curve keyboard and mousing with a Performance MX mouse), their tech support is just icing on the cake.

Yea, I've had a couple mice replaced by them... no questions asked. Most recently they sent me a G500 to replace a G5 that went bad. The quality of their mice is generally iffy, but they back it up with good customer support.

Hmm... maybe they will replace my harmony remote. The left button stopped working a while back and I had to remap it's function to another button. It's really annoying but worked. Now the volume up button is also starting to flake out on me. :(

No luck on that for me. AFAIK, the support for the Harmony is run by a different division of Logitech. I also had a button stop working, as well as the usb jack and they wouldn't replace it.

I love my MX5000 keyboard. I've had it for three years and have never had a problem with it.

MX500 mouse was great. Wore it out.

Replaced with MX518. Great. Haven't worn it out yet, though it shows signs of wear :p

Then I took apart the MX500 and replaced the left clicker (soldered a replacement button in it) and gave it to my brother. He still uses that mouse :D

My other brother is also using an MX518 that replaced his piece of junk Razer mouse.

Hm, I wonder if logitech support could help me and my brother out with our Z-560 speaker sets. Both of us are having control pod issues after all these years (my fade control goes all crackly when I touch it and the bass control it twitchy, my brother's set the volume knob is about shot). Maybe logitech has replacement pods stashed someplace...

Currently waiting for the G110 to come back in stock as my palm rest broke and they say they have to wait until it's back before sending out a replacement. It's been a couple weeks, but I understand that's largely out of their control. Hopefully they'll live up to their support reputation.

This was typed on a Logitech keyboard, while wearing a Logitech headset, with a logitech mouse, logitech speakers, and a logitech racing wheel sitting on the floor by my feet. I didn't really consider myself very brand loyal, but somehow I've ended up with lots of logitech stuff (mostly due to awesome deals though)

Logitech support is definitely top notch! Pretty much the same story as the OP with my G7 and MX Revo. No problems getting them replaced after years!

The only other company off the top of my head that's just as good in support is Koss. I've replaced my Porta Pros twice now in the last 10 years (and once for my KSC-75s).

I mean I guess I looked at the temperature and time sometimes.... But as a keyboard\volume controller it failed due to poor connectivity. Their forums at the time were plagued with similar complaints.

Quite likely they will replace the pod. I haven't had any issues with my z-5500 set, but I've heard of Logitech replacing entire speaker sets to fix even a small issue. Those might be extraordinary cases, but I wouldn't doubt if Logitech at least replaces the control pod.

What's funny is I hear all these great stories of Logitech replacing accessories. Of all my Logitech accessories, not one has caused any problems. Hopefully if I ever do have to replace something, it's painless, but at least I haven't even needed them yet.

Logitech Z-5500, a couple different Logitech keyboards, I now have a Logitech G700 after owning Razer for a few years (still not sure on this mouse though, ergonomics may not work for my grip.. still giving it a thorough trial with BF3), G35 headset, G25 wheel, G13 board, Harmony One, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

An accessory being replaced is usually because I've started to look for different functions/features and the Logitech model isn't satisfying me anymore. Keyboard got replaced with a Razer Lycosa (not sure about this yet), but what I really want is a Blackwidow Stealth but they are out of stock until mid/late December (mechanical keyboard with Cherry Brown switches, the regular Blackwidow has Cherry Blue switches and the click-clack is annoying and too loud for my environment)... so still unsure about what I'm going to do. I just want a true switch keyboard, and the scissor-switches on the Lycosa are at least on par with my old Logitech G110's membrane keys but missing some of the functionality of that board.

Logitech is indeed awesome. I just wish they released an new version of their Z-5500 speakers.

Possibly. I don't expect a free replacement given how far out of warranty the set is, but I just can't seem to find a new pod anywhere! I'll call them if I have a chance tomorrow and see if they have any spares left that they could sell me.

If they do help you out, could you shoot me a PM and let me know? My control pod has been going out for years, so I generally just leave the volume fairly high and use PC volume control almost exclusively.

I think I'm losing / have lost my left rear channel from the amp, too, but I need to check it again to confirm.

My G500 mouse died about 4 months after getting it and Logitech sent me a brand new one a couple days later, with absolutely no questions asked.

They have nice support, but I play FPS, and neither their mice or keyboards cut it. You can not beat Razer mice (currently Mamba) and Cherry switch mechanical keyboards (also Razer).

I had several MX500/518s fail on me btw; now through their terrific warranty, they are work mice.
