Yeah, all the buttons can be utilized in both the windows environment and in games. Except, for some reason, in certain games like those put out by Novalogic. So I can't use any extra buttons in Black Hawk Down or Joint Ops, bummer. But I really do love this mouse, those extra buttons are now a necessity for me. The way I have it set up in Windows is the very top button above the scroll wheel is close application, the button directly under the scroll wheel is copy, the one below that is paste, the one under my thumb on the side is back and the one above that is forward. So when I play a game like, oh I don't know, Neo Tokyo, I use the button under the scroll to reload, the one under my thumb to scope and the one above it to cloak. It really is a pretty sweet setup. Oh, and I did adjust the sensitivity to the max, which means you have to use the ps2 port and the drivers, of course. Plus without the drivers you can't change the buttons on the top and bottom of the scroll whell to anything you want cause by default they're set to scroll up and scroll down, respectivly. I also can't get the very bottom button to work in games.
And as for the sensitivity, you really can tell a difference without it. I just got this new comp for a back up, and to get it all set up I'm using the MX510 (cause I just can't stand using anything else). Since this isn't the main gaming rig, I won't be using this mouse on it so I didn't install the drivers. I went to play an FPS and, d@mn, is there a difference...
This mouse is awesome!
BTW Runner, did you find that article benificial?
