I love my MX1000. I got the G5, took it back
Then i got the G7, took that back as well to get a new MX1000.
The DPI to me is perfect. Playing BF2 and COD2 was sloppy. Even with tuned down DPI the handling wasnt good. It took me about 2 days intiially to get used to the MX1000 but after that I loved it.

What difference does a higher DPI make?
I have a MX500 mouse and it's wonderful... What would make something with a higher DPI better than this one?
I, too, had a MX1000 sent to me after problems w/my MX700. It seems to have a mind of its' own...doesn't want to move easily no matter what type of surface it's on...have to double-click at times when only a single-click should be necessary.Originally posted by: NDJeff
I <3 my MX1000, awesome mouse. I will never, ever understand how people can put up with a wired mouse after using a good wireless mouse, its like going back to 56k from broadband
