😉 Just picked one up from SAM'S.

It works great. But did have some problems, initially, but upgraded motherboard bios, and 'everything' is working great, now.

VERY HAPPY!!!

Mine came in a few days ago...and I'm returning it. It just wasn't as good as my mx500 for me. There's no mouse orientation option in the new SetPoint software, and for me, that won't do. My wrist goes down to the left and up to the right when I use the mouse, so with no orientation, it made it very difficult to use. Also, the left side buttons weren't as easy to click in my opinion; they were all usable, but not as easy as the 500/510 series, and since I use them an awful lot, it wasn't favorable.

The other major issue I had was again with the SetPoint software; it had less features than the previous mouseware software...two of the notable ones were minimize all and maximize all, which I use hundreds of times daily.

The feel of the mouse was better though, and the weight wasn't at all a problem. It charged fast and was pretty nice save for the few annoyances I mentioned. The horizontal scroll is a very nice feature, but it wasn't a worthwhile switch for me.

Here's the key to using Logitech's awesome MX series mice: Don't install the drivers.
That's it! Just plug it in and go.

I've been using my MX700 for about 8 months w/o any drivers and I certainly haven't needed them.

if you don't install the drivers, you can't get the full functionality out of all the buttons. I could care less if the mouse looks cool or is 'super' accurate in games, I'm accurate enough to not have problems, but I want as many buttons as they can put on a mouse without placing them where they're out of reach or in the way. I could feasibly see 16 buttons being useful, and positioned nicely...but those buttons aren't going to work without software. I don't see a point in getting a mouse with 10 buttons if you're only using it for games that use 2.

Price is now $63.64 today. $3.35 cheaper than yesterday. Apparently my order is already being prepared for shipment so I can't cancel it. Why oh why does this always happen to me!

Got mine at sam's club and I use it on my XP machine as well as my MAC G5 tower. Works great on both. Very precise and comfortable.

I've had no problems with mine. Been running it for 2 weeks. I accidently left the ouse off the cradle for one whole day and the battery still had juice left.

I did download the latest MX1000 drivers from Logitech.

I have to other pc's running MX700.
