I saw them packaging these things in 2 packs for 20 bucks. Nice way to screw over people.
Just fair warning: Thrustmaster's will do the same thing. Amazing feel, but regular abuse :) gets to them. I think it might be why they're $20-$40, not $50-$100.

still using the ball eh?
just a normal mouse, it may actually be even older
what older than a ball mouse?
I think the implied meaning was 'may be older than 8 years old, having only had it for 8 years, and not having bought it off the shelf, or just forgotten'.

 to you logitech!

I had two OEM ball mice fail, the first one rather quickly, the second only after years of service. I still liked them better than most of the high-end laser mice out there.

If anyone knows of a place to get Logitech OEM ball mice online, please let me know. The local stores now only have Logitech OEM laser mice, and the lowest end ball mouse you can get is called the Logitech First Wheel Mouse, and goes for $19.99 or so. It's not even as good as the OEM mice, in my opinion.

I admit I own a lot of logitech products:
MX1000
MX510
Wireless Xbox Controller
Wireless Xbox Communicator

But the one that really ticked me off is my Logitech Harmony Remote breaking in less than 2 months. The damn #4 button went out and now and I cant watch any channels using the #4 in it! A $200 remote should be built with a lot more quality. Never had a problem before, gonna call them today for a replacement. I do admit though, this is the best remote in terms of programability and ease of use. Now quality.... we'll see what happens with the new one they send.

What's the number, because my regular optical mouse just died (LED is dead, buttons still click though)?

i like the guy who because he had an elongated problem with logitech wont ever use them again..lol

im sorry but all companies at one time or another have annoyed greatly one/some of their customers.....no reason to stop using them, just be wary of certain products and dont buy till you try/get feedback from others.

im using an MX510, nice little rodent, works well, good response, i beena little more accurate in CS:S since....

also using Logitech Premium 30 USB headset....very nice device for the price...well comfy and fairly lightweight, but pretty good sound for gaming, music is a little weaker, but i dont use them for that, excellent for picking up footsteps playing CS:S which is kinda vital when u play tournies and ladders...lol

My z-560's have that annoying volume crackle but that did not start until I spilled pop on the conroller pod. It's not a big deal to me as I leave the volume set on the pod and use my logitech keyboard to adjust system volume. I guess since the speakers are 4 years old I can probably take apart the pod and clean the pot as they are probably out of warranty... but I'm too lazy to do that!

I actually just orderd a set of Klipsch promedia 2.1's so when those arrive (probably today) I am going to do some testing between speaker systems. I wanna see how the logitechs in 2.1 sound agains these klipsch to see what all the fuss is about...

I had a set of speakers which I am RMA now for muffling sounds from the front speakers. The speakers are model X530.

I've had about five Logitech "Marble Mouse"...they fail after about eight months of use. I'm disabled though and this mouse just works for me.

Keep in mind...I type 95% of the time with an on screen keyboard...every single letter I type is a click.
