After 2 years my Harmony 880 battery would no longer make contact, googled it, and had to insert a piece of paper between back panel and battery so it makes contact(wtf?), and the volume up button no longer works. Had to reprogram arrow directional buttons to be channel buttons. Call Logitech, or sorry your warranty ran out a year ago!!!! GREAAATTTT!

POS!

This was a $130+ remote when I purchased it..........wayy overpriced for the cheap chinese parts they used.

If there is a remote that will control the following:

- my Logitech speakers (Z-5500)
- my Comcast STB (Motorola 6200-2005)
- my Dell 2405 FPW

I'll buy it.

The Harmony is also a learning remote. If the products you listed already have a remote, then the Harmony can learn it's controls.

I don't think the 2405 will be possible, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it is.

Have had the 550 for 2-3 years now, in love with it. Has withstood the beatings from 2 young boys as well.

I have the 880 and the One. Used the 880 for a long time til I got tired of making the remote properly sit on the cradle so that its contacts would properly set. The One is awesome though.

I absolutely love my 890. I bought my dad a 550 for Christmas and he instantly was amazed by it (I set it up in about five minutes for his TV, DVD HTS system, and DirecTV box).

Bought a pair of 520s a couple of weeks ago for $30/ea. Only using one so far, but it does everything it's supposed to, and has effectively replaced four other remotes.

As a side note, these were purchased from websbestdeals through ebay. There are some reports of people getting used or refurb remotes from them, but both of mine were brand new in sealed retail packages.

670 here. Got it for X-mas and love it. Don't know if I could bring myself to blow that much money on a remote but I'm glad I can get my parents to blow it on an X-mas present.

We have three of the Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote. It's awesome, especially on the TV which has the xbox360, ps3, wii, n64, ps2, av receiver, and pvr attached to it.

Until they get a few years of use on them and no longer function as well. About all my 880 is good for now is turning everything off/on and switching between tasks. The buttons require extreme pressure to function now and getting the thing placed correctly in the charger is a nightmare. I am waiting until they come out with a more ergonomic design before replacing my 880. I want one like the 880 without the flush, tiny smooth plastic buttons so it is useable one-handed, that fits correctly in the charger, and doesn't wear out as quickly as my current one did.

I would have to say the one drawback of my remotes is that no one in my (wife's) family seems capable of figuring out how to use it or how the "help" function works.

Other than myself and my 8-year-old daughter, they all just end up sitting there staring at a blue screen.

Then again, they also provide many posts in the "Stupid IT tech Support" threads.
