I'm a Bzzagent... I get cool stuff free and am only asked to talk about the products with people I know. The remote is wonderful and so is the bzz program🙂
 
I'm amazed at how cool this thing is and how easy it was to set up. Around here we use the curse o meter to gauge how difficult a new toy
is to to install and this one didn't elict a single curse word..very impressive !
 
So what's the advantage over the other Harmony remotes? Most of the others are very similar.

I have one of those devices and it works as advertised. There is a very slight delay between a button press and the action being taken on the PS3, but it's not bad and shouldn't affect anything to do with movies. I have it powered by the USB port on my cable box, so no batteries to worry about.
 
I don't actually own the One, but I played with one for a few hours. I really liked the "feel" of this remote compared to other Logitech remotes, which is laid out much better. I did have a little problem with using the touch screen, but I am used to using a remote with a larger screen with action buttons on each side of the screen. The limit of 6 commands per screen was a problem for me. I think it is a very good choice for a remote costing $250 and is fast becoming one of the few remotes that actually let the end-user have access to programming software.

The IR is pretty narrow and wouldn't pass commands unless I pointed the remote directly at the device being used. To be fair, my HD-DVD player IS partially blocked by my HUGE center channel speaker. LOL

I am going to get hands-on with the Universal Remote MX-980 first before getting the Harmony One. The Remote Technology stuff is out-of-the-question now since I don't want to bother an installer when I want to change an icon, move around devices, or program in a new device. The MX-980 is also a dealer-only remote but my dealer is willing to give me the software and the 300MB update since I am 100 miles away.
 
My tip is Harmony related in general: if you have a problem getting the remote to do exactly what you want or are confused about how to get it to do something, call and ask. Their tech support is fantastic. I have used the level 1 and 2 guys and they have always assisted me directly or developed a workaround for me. They have a lot more experience thinking up solutions and knowing what they can do with the remotes so definitely make use of that resource if you need.

Are you using a Harmony remote with it? If so, did you have to manually setup the codes for the PS3 or does Logitech already have IR2BT available as a device selection?
