the rebate says bought AT amazon.com, not from amazon.com, i bought my mouse at amazon.com and will argue that, even if i have to send the mice back and get a refund. they are nice mice, but no mouse is worth that kinda money IMO.

also, on my credit card statement it says the payment was to amazon.com, there is no way they are getting out of that one.

It's all semantics. I think everyone knew that the rebate was intended to be valid only for purchases directly from and fulfilled by Amazon. Those ordering from TigerDirect thought they saw a loophole, but should have known going in that they were trying to get a rebate they weren't entitled to.

how come we have numerous confirmations saying that the TD/amazon.com order is perfectly fine to redeem the rebate.

i didnt think i saw a loophole, i was under the impression that ordering at amazon.com was what was required, it made no mention of who fulfilled and shipped the order. my money went to amazon.com, so to tme that is buying at amazon.com.

yups, exactly my point.

I bought both at Amazon and one shipped from Amazon and one from Tiger. I sent logitech an email and this is their response:

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your rebate. Yes both rebates are going to be valid. Please make sure that you retain copies of what you mail.

I didn't email them an invoice, simply told them that I ordered both from Amazon and one came from Amazon and one came from Tigerdirect.

I just got an email from Logitech stating that since my purchase was made through Tiger direct, it didnt qualify. WTF. I bought it at Amazon.com, only because I was going to get the rebate. This is pure bs.
From Logitech:
Promotion G7 Cordless Mouse $50 @ Amazon
Rebate Number xxxxxx
Promotion Type Rebate
Submission ID xxxxxxx
Status We are currently unable to approve your rebate for the reason listed below. The receipt you submitted is from a non-qualifying store.

You will receive a letter or postcard describing this problem. The letter or postcard may have instructions on how to correct this error.

Now I have to jump through more hoops and wait another 45 days. Not worth it.

Can you clarify which receipt you sent in? The TD packing slip or the invoice printed from Amazon.com?

I sent both.

Anyone get denied emails/postcards because I am for the G7 which came from Tiger Direct. I had it approved already that I was in the clear and then they deny it. Argghhh!!! I hate rebate scams!!!

How soon do you think your rebate should show up on logitech.rebatestatus.com ?

I would like to know as well. I purchased FROM Amazon... but they still don't have my rebate listed yet....

I bought both the G7 and G5, both of which shipped directly from amazon. Neither of them have shown up for me yet, but I'm not too worried.

Once it gets into that 6-12 week period (probably about 8 weeks in) I will give them a call if I haven't heard/seen anything yet.

If you people are unaware, logitech are some of the slowest rebates ever. Expect it to be about 3-4 months before you get it. Thats usually how long it takes mine to come in.

I never got mine - one for the MX510 and one for the X-530's - they're terrible with rebates. As I mentioned good luck to all of you that went into this...I'm never again dealing with their rebate system...

Sent out my rebate form 3/17. Just got email confirmation of my submission this morning. They better give me my rebate!

I'm sure its just Rebatestatus.com's fault. I didn't get in on this in time but have had 2 other rebates go through these guys and both had problems. They denied a $25rebate on my NeoPower 480 because they looked at the date I printed the invoice, not the puchase date (I had circled the purchase date). I emailed and it was sorted out and I received my rebate. The 2nd was a$30 rebate on my XFX7800GT which they never showed that they received. I called them up and the rep put in the request directly over the phone (about 6 weeks ago). They mailed it on 4/7 and I received that rebate yesterday. So it may not be Logitech. Give these guys a call and they may be able to help you out.

PSU - bought in June, rebate received in November
GFX - bought on 11/29 received 4/11

So you get them, it just takes a long time (they're hoping you forget or don't bother to contact them).

i just checked logtiech.rabestatus.com and my G7 $50 rebate has shown up now, now i am just waiting on the G5 $30 rebate and i am all set

oh and i ordered the mice from TD on amazon, so for anyone who did the same, it does work and you should get your rebate!

Make sure they say your rebate is valid. Mine currently says that I purchased it from a non qualifying store so I gotta call them sometime, what a pain.

I've been using the G7 for a month now. Logitech mice are the best, but the G7 didn't meet my high standards.
1. The slick plastic surface under your thumb makes it feel uncomfortable-like skating on ice! I wish it was rubber!!! It gets greasy feeling fast 🙁
2. The wheel (mine at least) is clunky and not smooth like my old mx510!!! I'm not sure why, but this makes scrolling harder and less precise for switching guns in CS.
3. Only (1) thumb button??? Ridiculous.
4. Wireless lasts about 2 days before switching. Get's annoying when it goes out during a game. But the wireless works great so far.

So what I wish they made was a wireless MX510 with the high optical specs...that would be perfect! And maybe a little smaller in size. Why did they change from something that felt good just for the sake of changing?

I just called, had someone in India right away with no hold time. Had it taken care of 5 minutes, didn't even have to explain what was wrong, just verified my information.
