Your specific question was "is there a greater possibility...."
There's is a possibility equal to a possibility of you getting a rebate with no problems whatsoever.

Deals of this type are for people willing to take risks, period. The questions posted really ask "is there a guarantee...".
No there isn't. Start from a premise that you will not get it and be surprised if you do when you're dealing with pricematch + rebate deals.

Everything you need to know is posted in post 1 by thread starter policy11 whom we should thank.
If you don't want to risk it or if you have additional concerns, simply look for other regular hot deals.

Through all your wordiness ;), you are essentially saying that there is no difference if I use a visa card, pay cash, or a BB card.

Just wondering if anyone has done it that way before.

Yes, it has been done before. Matter of fact, I put this very deal on my Best Buy card.
Essentially, words PRICE MATCH will appear on receipt. Method of payment makes no difference whatsoever.

Tushman don't forget to print out the OfficeMax ad with the Logitech keyboard on it. If you are a gamer you will be piss about the come that come with the combo. For the keyboard is worth it. I am not using the mouse that come with it because it suck big time for games. Even my GF notice the lag on the mouse after 5 min of use. For up and down move is ok but there is a lag when you move side to side. Good luck.

BoKing, thanks for the response. Considering your feedback on the mouse, I think i'll just take my director up on his offer and buy the MX700.

Ha ha. I love it... using their own display equpiment against them. :D

I will have to remember that when I need to make copies. BB could become my Kinkos replacement.

My local BB restocked sometime this week. I reserved one last night and when I went to pick it up there was two more reserved for other ATers. Purchased at $99, rebate printed out, right to the service desk, price match, no problem. CSR says, "That's a pretty good price". lol, in Butthead voice to self, "You don't know the half of it, baby", thanks for the deal

My local staples only has it for 80, not 50 :(

Can I still use a printout of the Officemax ad to get it for 60-rebate? or does BB not accept printouts of ads, only originals? Thanks.

In reality, you shouldn't need the ad, just confirmation of their price. In other words, printing off the ad online comes out kinda wierd so I just printed off the "product page" it shows the $59.99 price. They don't need an ad to PM, only a price verification.

Oh, no!! Just checked OM's website, the product page shows $99 now, good thing I printed it out this morning! So I haven't PM'ed yet, will do that at lunch. Also tried adding it to cart and it says, "price shown reflects IR" and shows $99??? Isn't it on sale until tomorrow at OM??

OK, it's going to be a YMMV on the printout of the product page. The CSR said to me that she'd have to call b/c they don't match online prices. So she did and OM told her that it was $99.99, uh oh I thought. Then, by his own volition, he told the BB CSR to hold on while he checks the shelf price... yep, it's $59.99!! So, the PM is a done deal for me! Sorry if I mislead anyone about the printout...

Thanks policy11 for the post!

I don't know why everyone is having such a problem. Maybe I just got lucky, and/or knew what to say. The simplest way to do it is to just pocket the original rebate reciept and rebate form, or put them in your car(YOU WILL NEED THEM). Then go over to cs with an officemax flyer and just ask for a pricematch. They HAVE to give you a pricematch, that is their policy. If the cs person won't give it to you, get a manager. If they say anything about the rebate(they did to me), just tell them "I have had bad experiences with the rebates from Best Buy, and I would rather pay $10 more and be assured of my money rather than wait for a rebate" I thought of this as she was explaining to me that it is cheaper to get just a rebate. This should convince them that you just want a pricematch, and they should give you the 110% PM. They will probably crumple up the rebate form and reciept that print out again. Let them, because you have the rebate reciept and form from when you bought it at the register. That rebate reciept mentions NOTHING about the rebate, it just shows you buying the combo for $99.99. The very first post in this forum had great directions, follow them and what I said above, and you shouldn't have any problems.

No, actually their policy clearly states that the pricematch will be done after calculating coupons/rebates into the price, so technically this is a scam against bestbuy and they do NOT HAVE to pricematch.. It doesn't matter if you dispise rebates or not.

Hey here is a neat idea.....

Buy it, go to the tech department and copy the receipt on one of those all in one fax-printer-copier-drink mixer, use the rebate form off the web, then go back to the CS and get the PM. That way you don't even have to go back to your car and you have a copy of the needed receipt that does not say PM on it.

Can anyone scan the ad for the keyboard and mouse so I can print it??
I went to open the OfficeMax.com today and it posted the new ads for next week already so can't print it to show Bestbuy csr for pricematch.
Thank
