Argh, you shouldn't let those @rsewipes get over on you. Go back and buy them again. Make sure you use a different CC or cash so you don't jeopardize the BB rebates. Then go back later and PM. If they take your rebates again then go back later and buy a small item that you need and get the regular cashiers to print the rebates from the register when you check out. Don't let them win.

I am really perturbed. I got two of them, one for me to upgrade mine, one for my girlfriend who insisted she wanted one for her computer I am building. So I did the smart thing and had the cashier ring them up as 2 different reciepts. Not a problem up to this point then I go over to Customer service desk, where the great man "John the @sshat" works. I have had problems with him before, imcompetence and lying about other stores caliming prices, but hey I have no chioce he is the only one working there. So anyway, I bring the two up show him the ad, and say that I would like to price matech, he gives me this but thing about how, even though I have done it many tiomes in the past, I can't pricematch and get teh rebate. he then procedes to ask if I still want to PM it, I say yes becasue I told thim I was aware of the policy and it has worked for me befeore. So to this he begins the pricematch but also procedes to take the rebates, which I stupidly put aside ontop the boxes on teh counter, and crumples them up. I asked for them back and we went through the whole "You can't have both, talk to my manger." so they both gave me the run around, and it is sad becasue I know more about it than they do...so I just simply said, refund them both, no more patronage.

I was able to succesfully get this today. I bought the product in the afternoon during lunch at a BB close to my workplace. They had plenty in stock. After I got home from work I took just the purchase receipt and an OM ad to another BB next to my home. I was able to get the PM without any problems.

Picked up the last one in Victorville. Drove home to Fullerton. Price matched there with the ad from Sunday papers with no problems whatsoever. It was the hot latina chick that works there that price matched it for me. Seems that every time I price match something I end up having her help me (LUCKY ME!!!).

this is the first time i was not able to get a price match at BB. i was sure i would be able to get one. until a one little bitXh didnt want to do what he was supposed to do. instead of calling in and finding out if OM had the drives in stock the punk was like just get the ad then go to the manager and ask him..well i brought the ad in and then took it to the guy and he went and asked the manager.. he was like they'd PM but if they PM then they dont get rebate..so i was like ok PM but will i still get the rebate form. he's was like yeah he'll give me the rebate form..but then this REALLLY bit#h butts in as says that he cant do that..and writes NO REBATE on the PM pad. I was like WTF whats ur problem. the guy was like its just wrong to get both the rebates and stuff.. i was like its not wrong. i am doing something totally leagal. so it doesnt matter...

anywhoo to make a long story short..i didnt get the deal..i am sure i can get it if i try again..but funk it.

I bought two at different times (two separete receipts for everything) but with the same credit card. Will I jeopardize the BB rebates even if I use 2 different addresses?

probably since it wil have the same name on the receipt, and same last 4 of card #. you could try though. i've marked my info out before sending it out before, but YMMV

Guys---Here is another idea....
You can make a copy of the rebate and the **acctual** Reciept in the MultiFunction printer department and you should be ok!

I saw the rebate receipt print out ... I saw the cashier take the rebate receipt ... I saw him put it in the trash ... I asked him why he did that ... he said I couldn't have the price match and the rebate ...

I should've taken the rebate receipt and made a run for it.

Guess I'll buy one without the price match and do a switcheroo.

Confirmed in Phili PA

Took the omax flyer to cs, they tried to get me to take their rebate instead of pricematching, but I just told them I wanted the pm and would not bother with the rebate, saying I have had bad experiences from them. They think they got me by just crumbling up the rebate form and reciept that printed out, that's why I saved the first one from the original purchase! Some exec really screwed bb out of a lot of money by running that deal w/ omax this week!

My local Staples (not online) has the Elite Duo for 49.99. If I buy at Staples for 49.99 then get one a BB, then PM it to Staples then submit the MIR......Free after MIR and PM! I am getting excited.

Which Staples? $49.99 after coupon or not?
The one near my place doesn't have those in stock, or display models.

I bought one at the BB in Cutler Ridge Florida on Sunday. Didnt bother to buy then price match, just took the OM ad to customer service first and asked for a price match. No problem at all. When it kicked out the rebate receipt, again no problem at all. Customer service folks didnt bat an eyelash. $64 and change out the door after tax with a 50 rebate receipt to boot!! Had to take it back Tuesday 4/29 cause it didnt work, but again they swapped it and out kicked a new rebate receipt, and no problems with the customer service folks. As of Tuesday afternoon still a half dozen of these on the shelf-lets see if the 2nd one works

no because their computer wont tell them there is even a rebate until they process a purchase transaction and it prints a rebate. i used to work at bb, and its confusing because when you bring someone up and they're like 'theres a rebate on this' you gatta tell them if there is one it should print out automatically.

you always hope it prints out, otherwise u gatta dig through the database of rebates and find it for them.

Since, I'm getting a rebate, he can't PM for me. What the *%^$^&!!!!! Dang, it is good to know that PM is working for all of you out there. I got so mad that I went to OM and purchased their $59.99 one. It is identical. I was planning on returning the BB one and get my money back, and then send in for the rebate using the OM one. If the rebate is from Logitech, I would have no reservations, but it is from BB. I dunno. Something inside tells me that I shouldn't do this to BB, especially, if I am going to return "their" keyboard. Maybe, I'll just try different BBs this week. Shoot, I'm just so jealous of all of you out there. I even have an original OM flier in my hand.

You could always print the rebate off of their website I suppose, technically I think they are supposed to honor this, from what I can see.

Oh yeah yeah send it first class mail.
That way when they check your receipt against their records, they'll have an option of gettin' your ass for federal mail fraud.

I have found out the hard way this will not work. If you buy it in the store, you have to use the form that prints out at the register and on-line, you have to use the one printed from the website. Yesterday I purchased 2 packs of the Fuji DVD+R blanks, one on line and one in the store. I am going to send both rebates to me and if I don't get both, I am going to the FTC. I'll see if their claims of on-line and in-store "are two separate offers" works. They can't have it both ways.
