The Ex wants her back. He told her he loves her. Now I knew he was talking to her on AOL, because she told me and I thought nothing of it because she said she was brushing him off. She told me he loves her and everything and I asked her if she had any feelings for him and she said No.

2-weeks ago she broke up with me for like a day or two, but it was to have a break. I never understand why, but she said she needed one. Now I am understanding exactly what she meant.

I haven't been a Jerk to her ever during these last 2 years. For her to hear how mad I am makes her want me more (it seems that way). Girls have some psychological problems and seem to like the "hardcore" more than the sweet guy at first (probably wrong). I've been the sweet guy for 2-years and now I'm the Jerk. I'm both guys now. That's exactly why she is calling me and saying she is sorry.

Fine. I don't want to hear that. I want her to say she isn't confused. She doesn't know. I told her to go with him and I shouldn't be hearing this 2-years into a relationship after she told me she wants to marry me. She told me she hasn't even seen the guy and all this is from talking to him on AOL. 1) If she gets confused from imaginary AOL chit chat then I don't know what to say of this relationship 2) How can anyone feel this way over someone over AOL that they haven't seen for 3-4 years (I'm assuming there is more to this story).

Any Mature person would have been honest from the start. Games = childish.

k now back to my story:
me and my ex was driving back home. Her current BF called, and she kept on insisting that he was really stressed/tired and advised that she'd talk later w/ him. Given that, I haven't seen my ex in ages, and we were just catching up on regular stuff. Basically continuing where we left off before we became BF/GF (we were close friends prior to the relationship). She just wanted to buy some time to finally talk to me and get things straight.

And..

that was that.

We did not kiss, we did not do anything sexual whatsoever. All we did was talk, and hug at the end and said our goodbyes/goodluck-w/-current-relationship bsbsbsblahblahblahs.

you absolutely gave her no chance to explain herself to you, and besides, they were talking on the phone!!! i doubt that they were having phone sex? well of course you can't confirm that, but i doubt that's what happened.

Others: He doesn't have to put up with anything if he doesn't want to. I personally don't like liars. If I was engaged to a girl who was talking to her ex because she didn't know if she wanted me or him, it'd be over like that. I've got a low BS tolerance these days, and as such, any fvck up will send you packing. I don't have to settle for anything if I don't want to. Why should I put up with a liar if I don't want one and can get someone who doesn't lie?

Oh fvcking get over it. She didn't CHEAT on you, atleast not that you can confirm. It's an unfortunate reality of things that she talks to her ex, and yes it's unfortunate that she lied to you. But if you like her you will deal with it.

On top of that, competition is a way of life.

my thoughts exactly. sounds to me like the OP can't take a little pressure. at the first sign of some competition: "yeah man, i didn't want her anyway." and he runs away flying his "bitch" flag and consoling himself with how well he can "get girls." only one guy got the girl here, and guess what? it wasn't the OP.

I been in sort of the same position before. That was my real break up for the first time and it was rought. Given the same situation, i would of done what OP did. Regardless if she is cheating or not, she shouldn't have lied and on top of that shes confused after two years+ in the relationship.

Life is great and no woman can ever ruin that for us.
