Well the way I see it is you (you and her) have two choices. First you beat the crap out of him. Choice #2, have her quit and get a job elsewhere. While she might like it there it's not that great of a job and she probably can find one as good elsewhere.

I'm glad the manager took care of their end, but it's pretty scary still since you point out the out-of-work thing. I'd say something like pick her up every day but I bet that would not work due to your schedule. Try to get him deported ;)

Sorry to hear that. Hope everything works out.

Does he know where she lives and things like that or only that she gets in her car and goes somewhere at night after work?

Buy her a taser(sp?) He lays a finger on her outside the restaurant, she give his nuts a little "spanish lovin' " - a few thousand volts oughta be pretty hot and steamy. Apart from that, being there when she gets off is probably the best thing you can do to protect her without getting your ass put in jail

You know what's funny? I work at a restaurant (The Cheesecake Factory) and there's a crapload of sexual harassment that goes on there too. One of the bussers got canned just last week due to several complaints about sexual harassment! :Q And yes, he was hispanic. I tell you, the bussers and the guys in the kitchen are DIRTY and RUDE. I have nothing against hispanics but when all they do is talk trash about the women behind their backs as well as TO THEIR FACES (in Spanish) that makes me lose lots of respect for them.

Sorry to hear that Chelsea had to deal with that, Nik. If you need to round up a posse, count me in. Those kinds of guys make my fist itch.

one word:

mace.

That will make him drop to his knees faster than Monica Lewinksy. And tell your girl to advertise the fact that she carries mace, maybe get her one of those petite key-ring size kind.

good luck buddy.

Well, she makes damn good money there. Together with the part time job there (Oregon's full minimum wage plus tips) and her job here, she makes more per year than I do, I believe. She's got a GREAT work combo.

I'd like to. She's driving a car that she just bought a few days ago home after work. Either that or over to my house. Ever since she started her job here, she's had to get here at 6am and we haven't had time to get together after she gets off there at times like 10pm and midnight (whenever the guests choose to get up and go home). She goes home and crashes pretty hard. He can easily follow her home - she works all of a few minutes away from where she lives.

I might actually start having her call me before the end of her shift and my following her home for a little while to make sure that she stays safe. I dunno... does that seem too clingy or over-protective?

That's a problem with working in the food/bev industry, the crowd it gathers isn't exactly role-model quality. A lot of sexual harassment happens there.

first of all: good for Chelsea standing up for herself and going to her boss and for telling you! Too many women take on all the responsibility and feel quilty like it's their fault they are being harassed.

secondly: You are doing all the right things. The best way to get it through his thick skull that she's off limits, is to keep making your face seen there all the time!

lastly:You make sure Chelsea makes it very clear to him that she is NOT interested and that if he continues making these comments and phone calls, she will take further steps by filing a complaint with the police. This should get him to back off, and if it doesn't at least she has it on record with the police and work that he has been harassing her.

If possible, talk to her boss to allow her park her car next/near to the restaurant exit and ask a coworker/boss to accompany her to her car (it won't take a minute) everytime she's ready to take off.

Sounds like you're being responsible. If some sleezeball was casing my wife I'd make damn sure she was safe coming home from work, too. He's already shown a blatant lack of concern regarding her current relationship with you. That rings warning bells in my mind.

Already working on it  Also, I think it's time she starts getting some formal martial arts training. I've got books and gear and plenty of experience. Plus, nothing like teaching your girl to "kickass and chew bubble gum." ;)

The situation doesn't sound dangerous, just awkward. Hopefully he'll quit & that'll be the end of it.

BTW, I wouldn't go picking fights with him. If he's anything like the majority of the hispanics in the area, he's small but wiry (and fast) as hell. Especially if he's bigger than you, you'll likely get yourself in trouble.

I also agree with what Red Dawn said. Its not the way things should go but it will ensure that things dont get worse. Good luck :)

Get her some pepper spray and teach her how to use it.

If she's really bothered by it then she should quit - jobs like that are a dime a dozen.

Now for my personal thoughts: the guy is just a dumb loser. There are people like him at EVERY job. They think that they are god's gift to women and such. The things that he's done have not been too unusual. I was interested in a woman at one of my lame jobs before and I would always find out her schedule so I could plan to be around her more. You have to go with your instincts on this one. Mine tell me that he's a harmless moron, but yours may tell you differently since you know more about the situation than me. Get her some pepper spray and tell her to ignore him - he'll forget all about her and use his lame and stupid attempts to seduce on another woman.

In all honesty, that job isn't worth it.

Have her get a new job and have her only tell the managers.

Problem solved.

Yeah, some kind of Pepper Spray would be good since its small and she can leave it in her purse.

I would personaly set him straight though. I'd let him know that she is taken and well protected and that anything he does to her, he's doing to you. Don't blatantly come out and make a threat, just make a very strong implication.
