Just saw this in my local paper, how abusive can some people be?
-------------Quote-------------------

Coweta County Magistrate Jim Stripling has threatened to sue the county for the $25 too much that he spent on a meal while on business.

County employees on trips in Georgia get a $35 a day meal allowance. But Stripling decided to spend almost $60 on his meals one day. When the county refused to use taxpayer money to pay for his expensive dinner, Stripling threatened to sue.

No, he could not eat on $35 per day. Instead he decided to spend $60 (probably felt that his position entitled him to it). The County only compensated him for $35, thus the $25 lawsuit.

I can't read and my trained monkey occasionly makes mistakes!

still $35 a day is possible. Granted you will not be eating the best food.

It's not a matter of money. it's a matter of principal.

Taxpayers are supposed to spring for this important person's expenses. They didn't do that. Now bring on the judge!

35$ a day is still very easy to manage. I eat twice a day, and spend way less than 17.50$ per place.

$35 is possible? I should be so lucky as to spend that much on myself for food every day...

sure. but $35 is not the best stuff. There have been times while on business trips where i hit the $50 limit i had. WE couldnt always choose where we were going to eat. Sometimes we had to go to the closest place or meet someone at a place that was expensive.
