Midland, MI?

That IS hard to believe. Pretty rural/boring town.

Where's Midland?
I've lived in MI and have family there...

Home of Dow Chemical Co. and Dow Corning Co.

about 20 minutes NW of Saginaw.

Ahh, okay. Thanks.

All this hassel and $7500/each in payments should be a nice punishment for them.

And if I was their parents I'd enforce further punishment on them. Such as no car. Ever.

It says 'severly', mind you, which means they are each responsible for the total amount if someone else doesn't pay.
Not quite sure how that is applied with a group of people, but in the case of two renters, for instance, it's much easier ;).

Serves them right, I mean it would be one thing (still illegal and morally wrong) to have a party at someones house while they aren't there, but not party I have ever been to has ended with ketchup sprayed on the carpet, glass in the disposal, x's on cabinets etc. Worst that I saw, was some puke, and a door taken off the hinges (don't ask) both easily fixable.

Same thing kinda happened her in Winnipeg. Some 15 year old girl wanted to be popular so she had a party while her parents were away for the weekend. She advertised it in the paper, on posters and on the net. It was a 300k value house and it got completely trashed. They didnt fix it, they just moved out!!!! During the party, people stole the appliances! Soemone walked out with a double size stainless steel fridge!!! Some friends of mine went, said they had a blast (but they didnt take anythign)

Nothing said whether the cat was killed. It could have just been placed in there, which is almost as cruel. I'm surprised, however, that punitive damages weren't filed. I know that punitive damages (damages to punish) are available in tort. Have no fear, the money judgment is far from the end of the matter - that's just from the civil actions. Criminal action will surely be underway as well. They may well get jail time.

This sort of blatant destruction and disregard of others is simply appalling. Very telltale about where our culture is going.
