Firefly season in my backyard. No lights around. On the other side of the stream that runs in my backyard is a forest. I sit on my veranda and watch them dance in the trees, from ~ fifty feet away, across a completely black background. it's nature's own fabulous light show!

Playing horseshoes with my buddies in the summer, shooting the shit, drinking a few beers, and firing up the grill.

A bit of good chocolate at the right time.

Lying down for a while, kicking my shoes off, after a strenuous day.

Making a fabulous golf shot.

Certain one of a kind smiles.

Just feeling really healthy.

I am also very lucky to observe fireflies every may/june/july in my backyard.

I love those beautiful buggers. I caught one for my daughter the other day.

Lots of food things...fresh blueberry muffins or buckle made from blueberries from my plants, a nice grilled steak, fresh asparagus, corn on the cob....mmmm, sounds like dinner 2 nights ago...
Then there are the physical things...sunrise over the mountains, sunset at the beach, (we drive on the beach several times every week...)seeing the baby blue herons learn to fly behind my house, watching the new-born deer learning to walk right after birth...not having a regular schedule...or having to go to work daily anymore...

So many little things that make life pretty damned good.

Teach me, oh wise one... teach me the ways of self employment.

The newest stuff is not the greatest, but characters like Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, and the Emperor will forever be awesome.

That could be the first time that "Storm Troopers" and "awesome" were used in the same sentence. They spent like 10 movies shooting up the entire galaxy and never managed to hit ANYTHING they aimed at.

That's a great feeling.

I had that feeling in softball once. I don't hit home runs but one time I put a perfect swing in the perfect spot. I barely felt the ball. It was bizarre.

You get that same sensation from the perfect fap.

I doubt I'm the first to say that. :p

It was a different time when those movies were made, and Storm Troopers was always sold out at stores when I was a kid and buying Star Wars toys.

Anyways, let's not derail this thread. Instead, post your list of things you like.

My wife's humor. Just like mine, of course. My kid smirking at my idiocy and still reaching from the backseat to squeeze my shoulders.

Memory: The kid, 3 years old, hands on his knees, laughing at the waves coming in at the beach. New eyes, ftw.
