wow..

I laughed though when I first saw the title. I instantly thought of the movie, Screwed, where Norm MacDonald gets zapped by the two little kids and they take the suit case he has

It sounded like the kid intended to kill him, yet I see no attempt of murder charges?
Definitly the wrong guy to mess with :)

u think its only $120 but what if he give them the money and lets them go free, so they can rob someone else? and suppose they kill somebody in that robbery, then that $120 turns into someone's lost life

So you can read the article without having to open another window, and you have the source right there so the validity isn't questioned.

Good story with a happy ending. My favorite kind.

BTW, in case anybody else was wondering:

larceny - The unlawful taking and removing of another's personal property with the intent of permanently depriving the owner; theft.

damn! He's got some bigs ones, along with a lack of some CS upstairs. And I understand the principle of what he did, but still...freaky.

Almost. The worst goes to the guy who complained here on ATOT (and General Mayhem, by the way) that some video store released some video a few days early and that he wanted to complain to the authorities.

On-topic: This story reminds me of last night's Real TV, with the footage of the jewelry store heist that went wrong. The store owner's neighbor shot the guy in the chest with a shotgun (the guy lived), and the girl started panicking..

I agree with you, not sure I'd risk my life over $120. Especially since I've got a wife now. I guess its his decision but wow  I'm glad he managed to at least wound one of the idiots...

Reminds me of a time A kid tried to snatch my mom's purse in the parking lot of a grocery store.

The kid thought my mom was alone, little did he know I left something in the car and went back to get it. I got back to where my mom was and seen her getting drug across the parking lot (She never let go of her purse). Let's just say that kid had one heck of a headache to say the least when I was done with him. Plus the cops came and got him

For those talking about him not just giving up the cash, the article did say he was unemployed. That $120 may be a really significant amount of money for him

I think this guy's almost as stupid as his assailants. No matter what the financial situation, $120 is not worth risking your life over. It's cool that things went the way they did, but it could have easily turned ugly if the assailants didn't happen to be such morons.

What i find most amusing is where he says that he "disarmed those punks". I am assuming he ripped the vertical feed off the bottom of the gun. Did he realize at any point that there still might be a bullet left in the chamber. I guess that never dawned on him as he started to think that he was the smartest man to ever live on this planet. The problem these days is that you cant just shoot the darn kid in the back after he thinks he got away with stuff. Let him turn around and start to run and then pop a cap in his a$$.
