Tell your friend to go buy this from Monster Cable and put in between the headphone and the source. They'll sound better because of the 24k contacts.

Headphones are a personal choice, and a musical choice as well. So, a CD3000 is better than an Orpheus (still Sennheiser!) for classical music?
