Seriously, it's SUPER that you can leg press 250lbs, but that doesn't give you the right to leave 6 plates sitting on the rack for someone else to put away. I hope your shins snap in half next time you use the machine, jerkface.

A person who knows where I'm coming from.

this only happens like once or twice, but while im doing my reps, someone asks me if they could work in, or are you done with that weight, or how many setsyou got, etc.. WHILE im doing my reps. basically, while im doing my reps, i get an interruption that should have been asked after i was done.

of course i ignore them, so they end up waiting anyways.

1. The people who have been going to the gym for months and they are still super fat. That just pisses me off. Stop eating so much or workout harder.
2. I hate it when people don't wipe off the machines.
3. People who don't workout hard. Standing in the gym isn't getting you in shape.

Not re-racking weights.
Re-racking weights in the wrong spots.
Cell phones ringing in the workout area.
People who use the power cage/squat rack for bicep curls when it's my leg day.
Screamers/grunters.

The stupid hot chics that run on the treadmill right in front of me while I am on the bike... Oh wait... that's something I like. Wrong thread. :D

The occasional jock who likes to stare at smaller people then turn to their friend have them turn around as well. Then they start laughing at each other for some odd reason.

Guys who kiss, or have any other type of PDA with their hot girlfriends while at the gym.

It ruins my eye-candy, and takes away some of my motivation! :)

I hate it when they play music too loud at the gym. 95% of the peeps in the gym wear headphones. I have to blast my own ears to hear my tunes.

Also, I wear short shorts in the gym. Sorry, my legz 0wn j00.

Stuff I find amusing at the gym....

The guy that puts on more weight then he can handle. Such as doing a whole body preacher curl. They have such horrible form, I tempted to tell them to put on less weight.

A fat 250lb woman that does curls with 2.5 lb dumbells.

People that goes through the motions of lifting, but are not really putting any effort into it.

People who don't rack their sh!t.
People who use dumbbells too close to the rack so there's no room to pick up yours.
People who leave enormous pools of sweat on equipment.
Curling on the squat rack.
Guys who treat the locker room like their own private bathroom w/clothes strewn everywhere.

The tools who put a ton of weight on one bar, do one rep, then stare at themselves in the mirror, walk around like they're the sh!t, then do another single rep 10 minutes later.

I hate poseurs who try to act like badasses and powerlifters, but are really only there to hit on girls who usually try to give them a wide berth. They, of course, are oblivious to this and continue to annoy females and everyone else who has to hear their pick-up lines. Generally when these guys work out, they don't know wtf they are doing.

250lb leg press?

That's not much.

Nothing usually bothers me at the gym as I am usually zoned out and concentrating on my workout. I also use an MP3 player so I'm oblivious to cell phones, the crappy music all gyms play, people interupting my workout by talking to me or Muscleheads grunting and screaming to make sure everybody knows they are lifting heavy weights. I usually wipe down all the equipment prior to using it so I'm not to concerned about people wiping the equipment after they use it. I could care less what others lift, look like and smell like. Hey it's a gym, not a place of work or elevator. Of course I haven't come across any stinky people, women at the gym with to much perfume or guys with to much cologne. I'm sure that would be annoying as it is annoying anywhere you run across them.

I think I'm one of maybe a dozen people at the Bally's I go to that actually re-racks plates correctly. As far as dumbbells go...don't even bother. Even the staff leaves them out of order. So I'm basically used to both of these things happening, and thus neither of them really upsets me. Besides, it's a mini-workout just taking off all the weight that the guy before you had on there. Heh.

What I hate more than ANYTHING is people who don't wipe down equipment after they finish using it. And it always seems to be the guys that sweat a LOT who don't do this. It's disgusting. I won't even use my own towel to clean it up; I'll go grab some paper napkins to wipe that nasty sh!et off.

And yes, I too dislike it when someone takes the only piece of equipment in the gym for a particular exercise, does one set, and proceeds to talk on the phone or to his friend for 15 minutes. You want to talk at the gym? Fine, but move your towel off of the machine so people can work in with you.

I've yet to have anyone turn me down when I asked them for a spot or to work in, though. But what I do dislike (even though I'm grateful for their attempting at helping me) is when someone over-spots you. Ya know, you'll be on rep number 3/10, and the guy is practically lifting the entire thing for you. Please, please, PLEASE don't touch the weight unless it looks like I'm gonna kill myself. Thanks.

As far as proper form goes: if someone wants to throw on 30lbs more than they can do, it's fine with me. Just don't go and lecture ME about how MY form should be. Just because you only have a 3" range of motion in the military press doesn't mean everyone else should workout the same way.
