The Lions have more problems to worry about than that.

I also came in here to complain about the Robed v. Robbed situation. Although Robed is actually correct in middle english. :)

no timeouts because refs let the clock run on a play a few downs earlier when Roy W. was obviously out of bounds forcing the lions to burn the final time out

Lions F*cking robed

They were playing naked? Man, that must have been a really uncomfortable exchange between the center and the quarterback.

when hes playing good hes great but when something goes wrong he has trouble keeping his concentration. I agree he isn't the answer but tbh they don't have any other legitamit choices currently. the sad thing is lions are still #1 in the division, god the NFC North sucks this year

Harrington didn't get it into the endzone, but Rogers had a critical drop on that last drive that might have kept them in a better rhythm...

However... he did kind of whip that throw in to Pollard and made it pretty much uncatchable.

Did anyone see Joey talking to the media?! No more Joey blue-skies: "This isn't alright. I'm so tired of this. We work too hard to come up short."

Anyway... I think his stats in the first half were 3-6 for 4 yards?! They weren't putting the ball up. Joey seemed to be lacking the poise and pocket presence that might see him try to connect downfield. He takes one QUICK look downfield and then just dumps it off underneath. Usually results in short gains... :(

oh well. As long as the Lions D keeps playing like that, good things will happen for this team. Just don't have Teddy Lehman covering speed guys anymore... :Q

a few notes....

Lehman would have been ok, but his initial steps were AT Pittman, not dropping into coverage....had he backpedalled initially he would have been ok...

R.Williams was coming back toward the line of scrimmage on his last catch..thus, his forward progress stopped before going out of bounds...which is why they kept the clock running...stupid rule, but it is the rule - note that the Lions didn't complain at all when the ref kept the clock moving...

As for the Pollard catch, his knee was CLEARLY out of bounds...get over it......

Get ready for Garcia in week 7....not sure he has anything left though...

yeah Pollard was OB for sure. I didn't think that would stand.

I'm over it... I give the Lions huge credit for not getting completely pwned.

no wonders they lost, playing in bathrobes would really slow you down

I think I would be able to move faster in just a robe than in a football uniform. :p

until you got hit. there is a reason they wear the pads. ;)

Here's a pic of the catch. It's close but it seems like he had posession in the 2nd and 3rd frames and he was still inbounds. If I recall there was no bobbling whatsoever. But I'd have to see the reply in super slow mo to be sure. But I just don't see how the ref could overturn the TD, it's just not conclusive. This is coming from a Bears fan.

i could be wrong it looks photochopped to have him farther from the OB line. i guess when you see it in full motion, maybe he just looks closer to the line.

oh well, it's a big endzone and every other QB seems to find it a lot easier than Joey.

one break? How about the "break" last week when GB recvoered a fumble and took it in for a TD, but the refs blew the damn thing dead and it got called back? That break stole the game, as did this one. The best part is the TB fans that think they are actually a god team, when in fact, they should be 2-2 without incompetency by refs 2 weeks in a row. And as for the Rams game, that was the right call. What are you bitching about again?

"CLEARLY" out of bounds? That's funny. On the ESPN repley, he was CLEARLY in bounds.

Nah, no photoshop that was a catch.

There was nothing in the tapes that indicated he did not have possession, and you do not need to ?tuck? the ball or make a ?football move? to demonstrate it either. If this was the case we wouldn't have the spectacular fingertip catches falling out of bounds. In Pollards case, once the ball hit his hands it did not budge ouside of his control. This, as seen in the pic and replays happend before he slid out of bounds.

At best, they had inconclusive evidence and should have left the damn call alone.

Don?t even get me started on that BS interference call in the 2nd quarter that took an interception away.

Fact is, calls like that happen all the time. Sometimes they go our way *anyone remember the Detroit VS Pit game, coin toss in overtime?* and sometimes they don?t. But whatever, whats done is done. It does no good arguing about it now.

Like has been mentioned before if the O had been playing for the other 57min it wouldn?t have even been a game. It shouldn?t have been a game. Tampa Bay was literally being dominated on the other side of the ball. If we even had a halfway competent offense it would have been a blowout. Their D wasn?t stopping us, it was Joey No Play, aka ?Happy Feet? Harrington and his Keystone Cop receiving crew. They had more than enough opportunities against the ?#1 defense in the league?, but as usual they beat themselves.

This is exactly what happened in our win VS Green Bay during week 1. The only difference being Tampas offense managed to make 2 good plays to net them touchdowns, while Green Bay preferred to self destruct completely.

I think the recievers dropsies and lazy route running can be fixed with a coaching change, the talent is there. Im not sure what, if anything we can do with Harrington.

yeah what the heck was up with the wideouts JOGGING on their routes? i mean, i have no faith in Joey getting them the ball, but they don't seem to be living up to their end of the bargain either.

oh yeah, and Jones' TD run was sweet. POP!

He caught the ball in bound but he didn't have full possession of the ball until he was out of bound. The replay shows the ball moving around until he was out of bound and that's probably what reversed the call.
