Another case of Concealed Carry laws having a positive effect on society.

A gun wouldn't stop a Lion.

😕

Did you watch the video?

That Iranian lion must have mistaken the guy he was mauling for an American, and wanted to bring death to him.

Yeah, I feel sorry for the lion a lot too because it isnt like there is some huge population of lions these days. It just isnt a good thing seeing endangered wildlife die off.

I really wish humanity could control its population growth.

Give the world a break and keep the human population around 5 billion and let that population live better rather than over populate and have wars and starvation control the population.

Yeah, I know that is an ideal that is impossible.

Please...

If I recall correctly, the entire world population could fit in the state of Texas with enough room for a decently sized house for each family. I also recall that every person on earth could fit into the city of Jacksonville if they all lined up. The point here is that overpopulation isn't the issue, its undercolonization that could be a problem.

I see this a lot - what does it mean?

It means they are posting in the thread so it shows up in their "My Forums" so they can easily find it later, like when they leave work and can watch the video.

When all they have to do is hit Topic Tools>Bookmark this topic....

"Investigators looking into what prompted the attack believe it was caused by the fact that IT'S A FREAKIN' LION!"

sorry putting a lion in a cage and trying to play with it....... and then getting killed isn't a tragedy. Its stupidity.

I feel the same way.

The lion was doing precisely what it was born to do, kill.

you wouldn't feel that way if the lion pulled your brother or father out of your grasp while blood spilled everywhere.

Anyone else wanna take on a lion 1vs1 on the open plains of Africa?
No cages allowed, and bring a gun if you think it will help you.

I've always heard: "if you mess with the bull, you'll get the horns."

I suppose it applies to lions too. :Q

Lions aren't endangered.

Yes, their numbers have been in decline, but there are still plenty of lions in Africa.

also, the guy was probably some low level worked who was just doing his job. he didn't have control over the safety that should have been in place. people do what they can to make a living but some of you shitheads wouldn't know about that.

Wasn't there an African tribe that use to hunt lions with spears as a right to manhood? Or am I thinking hollywood? I would like to see them win once and a while.

I wasn't going to respond to this because of how old this thread is but I couldn't let a comment this stupid go by...

The didn't happen in the United States and the lion was shot to death by a police officer. Concealed carry laws had absolutely zero impact on this series of events.

That dumbass deserved it. You work with dangerous animals, you run the risk of being eaten.

[/thread]

your two statements aren't exactly related. how did he "deserve" it? that would imply that he was a bad person or that he did something stupid. being a lion trainer or a zookeeper or whatnot isn't stupid. if he BEAT the animal or provoked the animal, yeah, he deserved it...
