Linux and KDE3 (again)

I finally got ALL The rpms installed, but nothing happened after a logout and restarting the xserver


I ran yast2 and it asked me for the cd so I fed it,,,maybe It'll work.


Still before that, iN konqueror, it still said it was kde.2.2.2


any ideas?

Any solutions?

AM I really an idiot?

one might be in /usr/bin and the other in /usr/local/bin, or something to that effect. not sure how you would go about fixing that, using kdm and all that stuff (login managers are the devil ), but that could be what it is.

You got to edit 2 files in /etc I think and then add kde 3 to the login menu via control center as root. Do a google search in googles group section concerning alt.os.linux.suse and then a another serach for KDE 3 and SuSE7.3.
