Linux and KDE3 (again)

I finally got ALL The rpms installed, but nothing happened after a logout and restarting the xserver

I ran yast2 and it asked me for the cd so I fed it,,,maybe It'll work.

Still before that, iN konqueror, it still said it was kde.2.2.2

any ideas?

Any solutions?

AM I really an idiot?

Scratch that last one....😉

one might be in /usr/bin and the other in /usr/local/bin, or something to that effect. not sure how you would go about fixing that, using kdm and all that stuff (login managers are the devil 😉), but that could be what it is.

You got to edit 2 files in /etc I think and then add kde 3 to the login menu via control center as root. Do a google search in googles group section concerning alt.os.linux.suse and then a another serach for KDE 3 and SuSE7.3.
