Lindows linux for free again

In the past several years, only thing I have done with Linux has been installing different distributions to my back up computer. I have tried RedHat, Mandrake, and many others in different versions.

As soon as I am done installing one, I go back to my main computer running Windows and never touch it again until I install another one. Of course, my wife thinks it so ridiculous everytime she sees me doing this cycle of installing Linux.

Anyway, thanks for the fun of another Linex installation.

This sucks! I applied my coupon, but have been waiting in line... 4 seperate times.... and everytime I get to download it... it says I am not authorized to download it! Anyone else getting this?

For anyone having problems d/l... what I suggest is to not even try. I tried for two nights straight when the first coupon came around, and then said screw it. Your purchase will stay in your cart and you can just go back to d/l it again sometime. I didn't d/l it until, probably, 2-3 weeks later. Just one evening I remember it, went to site to d/l it, and bam #1 in line.

So, patience grasshoppers

>8) g'luck

...hmm, doesn't seem to work for Lindows Live (LindowsCD).

Welp, I got one for free, I should be happy with that.

Did anyone get the Lindows Live to work w/ coupon? According to the linked site it should.

I got lindows Live to work with the cupon ... once u are registered then go back to lindows.com and login then go to my products then cd downloads to get back in que or better yet download other stuff so far I have been able to get lindows live, lindows laptop edtion, and lindows developers edition. just need to be super pacient with it ... from what I have seen usually early morning ( 5am ) you can get in a que that is less than 100. Last night I tried it @ about 1am and I was in que #161. As far as the link goes I tried to get the link I downloaded it from ...but I dont work after words. For all those that got one version ( say the live ) I would go back and login and get the other version.

Waiting for your download to start.
You are number 614 in line

Yeah like I will rember to come back and start the download on time

Isn't Lindows Live! part of the deal anyway?
I opted for the $10 retail box which includes the Laptop version and Live!. I would have preferred the Developer's edition. I was always late for it.

Man, I still can't get LIVE to d/l. I originally tried it without being logged in, but it's not working while I am logged in.

Yeah I couldn't get it to work with live when I added it to the cart either. I ended up using a coupon for "LindowsOS"
and went through the whole process. After all that though, when you go the download page they have links to several different ones (live, laptop, deskop etc).

You are number 1142...
Anybody know when the next version is coming out? If it's going to take THIS long, might as well wait for it.

I was number 261 this morning around 0800, and it took until 11:30 before I was able to download, but the d/l itself was pretty fast!

1027!

I used to get the LindowsOS newsletter back when they were developing Lindows and getting sued by Microsoft.

After a while I started realizing that this could be a total sham. I mean they're making you PAY for Linux. They do exactly what other Linux distros try to do (copy windows) only they make you pay for it. I believe they also charged for certain programs that could be gotten free from any linux enthusiast site.

Well, it's free now I guess...

you also have to buy the membership for click-N-run stuff.
why did i install this thing.... does anyone know how to uninstall this?
