Wow thanks. Looks like you can choose from a number of versions including a knoppix line one to test without installing anything, and a laptop one.

hey yall ... To answer some Questions ... first I use Mandrake linux ... Between Rhat and lindows ...well Rhat is over ( not litterally but so to speak ) they have switched to the fedora project for the desktop user. between Lindows and Rhat ... lindows looks all nice and stuff ...but does not have the following behind is as Rhat does ( find help on IRC for Rhat as apposed to lindows ... personally from my little experice it's been bad with Rhat ...even where I work. Rhat people I found out are rude ( not all but some ...atleast all the ones I ran in to ) granted last time I tried rhat was red hat 6.2 and the only thing I heard was "RTFM" from the great IRC people. the mandrake people ...very nice and willing to walk me step by step with problems. so I would try a few distro's out ... I tried Rhat and Corel and Debian ...then mandrake. Also if ya know some one personally who can help you out with things with a certain distro go with that distro ...my friend happned to know mandrake really well and was willing to help me out.

For those people downloading lindows here is what I have figured out so far ... if your way back in line like in the 600's as I am ... let it go and come back after 2 hours ... if you get to like number 50 or below sit infront of your computer and check it ever 15 min till you get down to the 10's then just stil there and wait ...it will give you 2 options ..FTP or slower HTTP ... PICK HTTP !!!!!! ftp will always fail ( atleast for the 6 times I tired it , it did ) HTTP is jsut as fast if not faster. Try the LIVE CD if ya can. And remember once registered you can go back and get in que again.
 
Now downloading Laptop Edition off the FTP at 130 KB\s, will try the live CD from HTTP ASAP.

EDIT: It slowly crept up to about 230KB\s, but froze up once (thankfully Opera lets you resume broken downloads).
