Meh, this one seems a bit over the top. There's enough material to bury Trump with...but Russian meddling just doesn't have the same impact since the Mueller Report was muzzled.

especially because they are already on board:

I read about an interview with these guys. They have no regrets about the shirts it was meant to be sarcasm
They have no regrets that they have been featured in Russian “news” as Americans who support Russia/support Russian goals.

^ the goal is to tickle the brains of naturally emotional, violent conservatives. The message is spot-on really.

These ads are in the same vein of the type that the GOP has always run against them "ebil libs!" (think: Willie Horton), and have always been successful with. The GOP knows their audience, and so does TLP.

It is poisonous discourse.

Its bringing a gun to a gun fight. Anything less would be nuts.

With Trump failing like he is, it seems unnecessary. Warmongering has the danger of affecting Foreign Policy, especially when you have someone unhinged at the helm who is increasingly desperate.

Then there is how it might affect Biden's Policy if it proves successful.

Biden isn't supporting war mongering. An angry, very republican Navy Seal is saying what he thinks in that ad. He is also supporting Biden. He doesn't say that Biden should go out and start killing Russians (he even suggested it as an absolute last resort).

Again, you miss the point: the purpose of these ads is to get votes. Not push democratic party policy. Hell, I think this is the first one that actually endorses, much less mentions Biden.

The message is just about reminding people how truly awful and dangerous Trump has been, how much more dangerous he will be if he wins. The only goal is to insure his loss, and that of his worst enablers, like Mitch. That's all that matters.

These ads only really air in swing states--in the heavy republican districts and red states. The targeting is intentional. When you are fighting the stage IV malignancy that is conservative ideology, you often have to go scorched earth with the chemo. Yes: it really does take poison to kill the poison.

First steps.

Get Trump off the throne ASAP. Priority number one, shit seriously goes south, shitter, if he gets 4 more years... worry about that, not an lincoln-project ad that takes it a notch too far.
Trump 4 more years = End of NATO, end of democracy as you know it, welcome to definitive oligarchy.

Discourse influences action. I'm just going to disagree with those counter arguments and leave it at that.

Some might say it's a bit unfair to place job losses stemming from corona shutdowns squarely on Dumpy's shoulders. It's not as if it could have been avoided. However, this is exactly the kind of disingenuous bullshit the Repuggers have been pulling for decades now. Blaming Obama for Dubya's economic crash, blaming corona on China because the virus came from there, and many many other examples.

So they can have a big ole spoonful of their own medicine this time I say.

Naw, but the dynamics of a lockdown of economy and jobs vs. dead americans in context of handling the epidemic is too complicated to fit in an ad.
The way this equation solves is this, Trump *could* have had this argument :

The economy took a hit BUT WE SAVED AMERICAN LIVES, are we not all patriots, my fellow Americans?

But what did he do? What does he continue to do? Play it down like its nothing, waging a fucking war on masks, keeping his own experts off the air like Fauci.
So he doesnt have a counter argument, so he'll have to take the jobs stabs to the face.. and whine about the fake media some more.

If I was The Lincoln Project I'd use this in synergy with Putins Bounties on American heads

From death by Corona Virus to death by Putin bounty in Afghanistan, Donald Trump gives zero fucks about American lives.
Is there any place on earth an American is safe from Donald Trump?
Are you next?
(oblig. "want you" poster here but with retarded donald face instead)

By sheer natural brute force of utter incompetence Donald J Trump manages to fall out on the wrong side of everything. Doesnt matter, go left, he'll fuck that up, go right, he'll fuck that up too, over, under, sideways, straight thru, you guessed it, he fucks it up. Why? Cause fuck you. That simple, you aint Trump you aint worth shit.

It's not disingenuous if your completely incompetent response to the coronavirus causes said job losses. A coordinated federal response from the beginning, and leadership from POTUS, would have meant much more widespread testing, contact tracing, etc. Instead, Trump is letting states fend for themselves.

We could have been well on our way to recovery already. Instead, this is going to go on for much longer.
