Rush flips; may support Sotomayor

After calling Judge Sonia Sotomayor a ?reverse racist? last week, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday that he may now possibly support President Barack Obama?s pick for the Supreme Court.

?I can see a possibility of supporting this nomination if I can be convinced that she does have a sensibility toward life in a legal sense,? Limbaugh said during his show.

In justifying his flip, Limbaugh pointed out that Sotomayor is Catholic and ?doesn't have a clear record on abortion.?

Hinting that Sotomayor could possibly support overturning Roe v. Wade, Limbaugh said ?whoa, it would be huge.?
there is more....

The only comment I have is....who hoenestly, really cares what Limbughs position is on anyrthing???

Rush's entire life experience with hispanics is when he asked his maid to score him some oxycontin.

He might be trying to play on the doubts some Libs have regarding Sotomayor's stance on abortion. There are concerns she may not be strongly pro-abortion (e.g., may not be in favor of late-term abortions etc). Rush is just trying to brew up trouble within the Dem party, but I forsee no effect on her confirmation from this stuff.

Obama met with her for hours before picking her. I have little fears about her judicial positions on abortion.

Obama wouldn't nominate her if she was even remotely considering ruling against Roe v. Wade.

I can't believe Rush is that gullible. Or maybe it's just another case of Obama's superior intelligence overpowering the peanut-sized brains running the GOP.

Didn't he compare her nomination to nominating David Duke to the SCOTUS?

Rush is a moron, anyone can see that.
If he bases his now support of Sortabetterthanawhitemale on 1 issue like abortion it truely shows his stupidity.

What I find amusing is how people automatically think he really does support her due to this - or even would for that one issue. IMO - it's a stunt by Rush to torpedo her nomination. Think about it - if Rush came out in support and claimed it was because of one issue - do you not think that the rabid left would get even more stirred up about that issue(they brought it up - that she hasn't really ruled on Abortion anything) that they get one of their lefty Senators to ask that direct question - thus bringing it to the forefront and giving the "right" one more thing on the list of reasons to vote against her.

But maybe I'm just a cynic.........

Bottom line, Rush is Rush, and is the master of the butchered logic hypothetical argument. And Rush has painted himself out of the corner, if Soyomayer is confirmed, he is right, is she is not confirmed by the Senate he is right, and even better, if she goes on to rule on some abortion case as a Scotus member, Rush can later either cry betrayal or crow at being right in the first place. See how easy it is to make 400 K or more a year when its only you and your sidekick Snurdly filling up three hours of radio dialog everyday.
