It looks good to me, but I've heard that it was stupid. Maybe I'll give it a shot someday. I typically dislike Disney movies.

Heh, I'm not a stick in the mud by any means. But speaking as a parent trying to raise a child in this day and age I can say with some certainty that this movie delivers an entirely WRONG message to children.

Am I the only one that thinks this movie is HORRIBLE? Not b/c of the plot/animation, but b/c of the MESSAGE it gives to children today? This movie encourages children to act out and demonstrate every single piece of disrespectful, unacceptable social behavior that children should NOT be doing.
The main character has absolutely no repspect for her parent-figure, no manners, doesn't play well with other kids, doesn't share, lies...and that's only in the first 20 minutes of the movie!!!
I took my seven year old son to see this movie and was appalled. Sickened, to be honest. There's nothing cutesy or fun about this movie.
Now, Monsters Inc. and Ice Age, those are GOOD kids movies. Funny and polite, if you will. Kids these days have enough advertisements and "hip culture" thrown at them encouraging bad behavior. Case in point; the whole Burger King TV campaign, where they show bratty kids ages 6-12 ordering their parents around and yelling "KIDS RULE!" and crap like that.
No, so; you don't rule. I pay the rent here. I will put this boot up your ass. I rule! Your Mom rules!! Kids don't rule. Kids have no rights. You do what you're told or you get your ass beat. Any questions? Didn't think so.
Now, I am not an ogre. I am a good Father. But, my son WiLL respect me. Lilo and Stitch is one of the worst children's movies ever. My son's mom bought it for him (he doesn't live with me) and I will not permit him to bring that movie to watch at my home.
