Ummm... It doesn't look really painful/unbearable, so WTF is the point in acting like a bait ? If only there was a shark under this guy trying to catch him for dinner.

What part about inserting hooks into your skin and dangling from the ceiling doesn't look painful?

Next time there's a draft I now know a couple dozen people that need to be first on the list, cause they sure as hell got to be dumb enough to be the first ones hopping over the wall after doing that crap.

Nobody in the video looks like being on the verge of fainting because of pain.

They're said to reach a higher state of awareness and lucidity due to the intense pain. It's overwhelming in a sense that it blocks out much of the "noise" life has to offer, leaving only the experience itself and an acute sense of "being".

It's funny, when people do this, some applaud. But when kids cut themselves to do the same thing, suddenly there's a problem.

I've done it. The worst part is when they poke the needle thru your skin to create the pathway for the hooks. After that, for me, the endorphins kicked in. Once I was lifted from the ground and was swinging it really was...relaxing. The people that were assisting with the experience actually had to ask me to lower myself as I wanted to stay up longer.

I intend on doing it again with my girlfriend in a couple of months for my 45th birthday. And no I'm not a stank-ass hippie or S&M freak. Everyone has thier reasons. For me it's just another unusual experience to look forward to in a "been there, done that" life.

Will post pics after the fact if anyone is interested (and it's allowed).

Wow... why did I click that link? That was really disgusting. I'm still baffled about how people can find it relaxing. Not exactly my cup of tea, but to each his own I suppose.

Ok, the description prompted a quick closing of that tab before it got past the intro.
Yuck.

I got to thinking about it but i'm imagining that once the endorphines kick in it must be an exhilarating experience.

I hate to admit this but I will, years ago I had a GF that gave me an STD and they had to do the test on me. The test consists of sticking a q-tip up the hole of your penis. Once my doctor did it, it hurt, hurt bad. But you know, once it was all said and done, it was quite the experience just because of the rush of endorphins or adrenaline from the pain. I'm one to like getting tatted and pierced though.
