I saw the pilot as part of a focus group. It was kind of interesting. Seemed a little too gimmicky with the whole 70s thing.

watch the original, its very good. rent the series, its pretty short, it finished.
i saw the leaked botched american pilot....
botched is the perfect word for it. don't judge from that. that one just lost the magic and the characters were wooden and pathetic.
they even admit it, they've scrapped that remake and are trying it again with a rewrite
theres a sequel already in the uk called ashes to ashes, but that was inferior to the original.

I'm going to go with the previous pilot as being better. Looks like this one had more period music and a "happier" ending. I don't think it was an improvement.

I liked the premiere last night, though I never saw the original or the previous pilot episode. Great cast, nicely shot, and it really seems to have a heart.

I thought is was terrible, and Harvey Keitel added nothing special. At the end when they figure out where to go, and they leaped out of the police station I thought it was a joke.

I started watching it and got to roughly the point where Harvey Keitel starting beating on the guy and decided that it was stupid.

I have a feeling there will be a Thursday 10pm time slot open for a new show soon.

I saw it. Thought the twin towers look so fake, but it was nice seeing them there. Also, I was around 9 in '73 and the police cars were NOT green bur black and white. Around that time they were transitioning out the black and whites for the blue and whites.

I only watched bits and pieces of it and it came off as dumb and contrived to me. While I got the part about him watching the TV show with the doctor examining him in a coma, the rest of the show seemed pretty stupid to me.
