any idea if this stuff works ?

it is supposed to cover your license plate so a pic cannot be taken of it. They are selling cans of it on the bay of e.

in NY State you are forbidden to have any cover or lens over your plate, so I figured that this might be a liable option.

there are cameras everywhere, big bro is watching and tickets arrive in the mail.

hehehehehehehe
i got a can of spray that will make it so they can't read your plate!
krylon baby! matte black!
for this stuff to work, it would have to make it so you couldn't see the plate.
if your eye can see it, then my camera can see it. guaranteed!
big brother won't send you tickets if you didn't drive like my little sister...

why stop there? Why not just spray it with black spray paint! That way, people won't be able to see it either!!

Get the plate WMVVMWI

That way there'll be enough chance of operator error that you might not get a ticket :)

I don't go through red lights, they are yellow.

Yellow doesn't mean "gun it." It means "stop, because the light's turning red." If the light turns red while you're still in the intersection, you did something wrong.

Anyone else notice that the entire second picture (the "after" picture) is over-exposed? Even the background. Besides, red light cameras are out-doors, they aren't going to need flashes.

the flashes go off at night and the triggers in the pavement are early, they go off on yellow.

if they are yellow then you don't have much to worry about...

Exactly. I was pulled over once for "running a yellow light" but the officer gave me a warning after I calmly explained that she was being unfair, and that stopping would've damaged my car, as the asshole behind me who wasn't pulled over would've hit me.

I've always toyed with the idea of installing water-proof LCD screens in place of my license plates. Feed them an image of a license plate from a palmtop in the console or something. Have it display random license plate numbers, except for when you get pulled over, then have it display the correct number.

Anything that can compromised the camera/video or make your plate can't be seen is illegal.
The only one that is not illegal is the one that does not work.
If a cop follow you from behind and see that your plates has been compromised, he can write you a ticket based on license plate law that say the plate has to be clearly visible.
Beside, the only reason for you to get one of those things is to break the law.
Otherwise, there is no need for such thing.
Don't blow red light, people got killed because of that :|
