There's so much that contradicts this (frankly, chickenshit) view. The most obvious being- the main victims of Islamic terror globally are other Muslims.

The problem of radical Islam isn't just a "getting back at the US" problem- or there wouldn't be terror attacks all over Europe, in plenty of countries that supposedly the fanatics shouldn't have any beef with- according to a chickenshit, head in the sand world view that is.

Even if there was a legit reason to kill office workers in NYC for some bullshit in the middle east- it wasn't an asshole rich saudi prick like bin laden's task to avenge anything. Only someone suffering from extreme PC cowardice and an insane form of Stockholm symdrome grants assholes like that an excuse, so perhaps seek help for it.

ISIS was largely people who've been aggrieved by the US & allies. If you take away someone's job and completely wreck their society it stands to reason they might not like you.

It's a window into how these people think when the blood of ~1million of someone's friends & family in addition to that is equated to some woman rejecting them. Notice that someone is pretty much always of another ethnicity. But to be fair, you stated in the other thread that you don't think false equivalencies exist.

I thought it was obvious, but you're talking about killings by race (how many people blacks and hispanics kill) and equating it with religion (because hispanics / blacks tend to be Catholics / Protestants), then trying to compare that to how many people Muslims kill. You're mixing up religion, race, and ethnicity as if they're all the same thing. That's a big overflowing douche bag of false equivalencies intended to support an unsupportable, and blatantly racist, position.

I'm not saying that Muslims don't have an issue with religious violence, they do, and have had it for a millennium. Protestants and Catholics got stuff more or less hashed out after the 30 Years War, with increasingly minor skirmishes afterwards. They still need a proper Reformation event, and arguably they were once getting close to one, such as Iran spontaneously turning to democracy until Eisenhower and his CIA cronies decided that BP's oil interests were more important than a nation's sovereignty. The thing is that it's escalating even Muslim-on-Muslim relative to how it was just a century ago, and it's tied in with politics and money. If it was purely their religion then you should see a consistent pattern of wars in all Muslim countries, rather than just the ones where Western (and Soviet) influence was most strong. When Iran finances terrorist groups like Hezbollah, it's not because they're a hardcore theocracy and want a Muslim planet; relative to many Arab nations, they're actually somewhat moderate. They do it because that's how you conduct war today if you're not on top. America won't allow Muslim nations, beyond a few select favorites, build up substantial militaries and wage real wars.

Osama stated his reasons for 9/11 pretty plainly. It wasn't all about Allah and 72 virgins, he gave very specific examples of Western meddling in Middle Eastern politics. His lackeys that died, that's another matter, but there will always be useful idiots willing to die for a cause. He was a rich asshole, sure, but so are most of our leaders. Unfortunately, greed and hunger for power aren't things that make people say "You know, I've had my fill, I'm content to give it up and herd goats or drink wine for the rest of my life".

I'm just pointing a historical fact, the most murderous people tend to be white & often christian for that matter. Given the gist of abrahamic religions, they also considered themselves the good guys fighting evil, and good guys don't sent their own to prison.

Race is a better predictor of violent behavior than religion afaik. I guess you're just a religionist. Stop triggering me.

My point in bringing up those demographics is that if you're going to do it at all, do it where it counts. Right now black-on-black homicide in the USA is at a level roughly equal (a bit higher actually I believe) than if we had a 9/11 every single year. That's a major problem. A few killings by Islamic extremists is a relatively minor problem, even when you adjust for population in the USA. Now, I happen to believe that trends in crime according to any demographic (race, ethnicity, or religion) is less genetic and more cultural, partially seen when you have legal immigrants consistently commit crime at lower rates than whites, no matter the immigrants' demographic. I do think that if we're making observations between demographics and various criteria like crime (which is valid, we shouldn't hesitate to say things because they're perceived as bigoted), we should also try to identify the causes of the link, as well as trying to weigh the significance of the criteria. Islamic terror is a threat because of our government's actions for the last 70 years, and it's not something that should make us shit our pants every time we allow a new Muslim American citizen (which is what the OP and others are doing).
