Speaking of bikes, remember Mattel VRROOMS? It was a plastic "motorcycle engine" that you bolted onto your bike that made motorcycle engine noises.

Vrroom.

...riding around in the back seat of my grandmother's Oldsmobile 98. was that the name of that car? wow, what a boat. and the interior was unbelievably plush. it was like a house on wheels!

later on when i got my first car, it was an '86 Cutlass... had the same kickass plush interior :)

I remember those well. We had to ride beside or on the highway near my house and you just got used to getting off the road when you heard a car coming. I put one of those on my bike and the first time I went riding with it on there I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to hear a car coming. I was on the road with a car right behind me and didn't know it until they honked their horn. That was the only time I got to use it because my mom saw and made me take the thing off my bike. :(
