I remember the old Match Game game show, with Gene Reyburn. Best game show ever.

Money Maze was better.

Bowling for Dollars! Was that only a local show in NYC, or did the rest of the country get to enjoy the spectacle?

Nope, I remember watching that as well.

Hell I remember when super balls first came out, and Hula Hoops, and Frisbees.
Remember the CRAZE to peg your pants REAL tight at the bottom. This was right after the original Star Trek came out. :)

Garanimals (sp?) the clothes you matched by animal.

When you played 'doctor' but didn't know what sex really was yet.

I remember the orange shag carpet in my room, my parents harvest gold sectional, with the faux wood inlay and the turn style cubby in the centre. As well as the large orange and brown lamps! Oh and the clock that looked like a sun...I think they still have that in the basement!

Yep, I had a new stereo system back in the late 70's with AM/FM, record player, and 8-track recorder!! All with a whopping 5 watts per channel but it cranked pretty good. I recorded some cool album rips on 8-track for a couple of years. :D

Dang, all of a sudden I feel like a fossil, lol.

S&H Green Stamps to buy those green swag lamps!

I remember as a kid I would have to help lick and stick them. At least I'd get a toy out of it.

The 70's was such a bizarre wasteland. Everyone was on an Acid Trip whether they had ever taken Acid or not, it was all just too bizarre.

How about Schwinn bikes? I had a blue Sting-Ray with a sparkly silver banana seat. My friend had the yellow 5-speed . The 5-speeds had names based on their colors, the yellow was "Banana Peeler" Anybody remember the others? They had a stick shift on the bar in front of the seat obviously designed to castrate you.:Q Engineered by people who hated kids!

REAL lawn darts? With the metal points? My brother and I would have wars with those things. It's a miracle we still have both eyes.

Remember when you had to go to a cheezy movie theater to see porn? No internet, no dvd's or videos. Some of the guys had films and a projector. These kids today don't know how good they have it.

Remember those bazookas that shot ping-pong balls like a pump shotgun? They were good, but we only found them one year.
Lincoln logs followed by the newfangled "Legos". Damn those things hurt when you stepped on them!

I still have my original super ball. somewhere. it's kinda the worse for wear, though. :)

I have a pile of odd 60's toys.. and dolls.. and comic books.. and picture books.. and a monkees thermos bottle. and little girl dresses. my mother rarely threw anything out and I.. am the apple that didn't fall far from the tree.

we called those fruit loop things "locker loops" in my neck of the woods... and I'm either too old or too young or too respectful of other people's stuff to recall the ripping them off thing. :p

things I remember..
rat finks
space food sticks
cereals used to be proud of their sugar.. sugar crisp, sugar frosted flakes, sugar pops..
pillsbury used to make donuts in a can, just like biscuits. :)
the milk box beside the back door.
chatty baby (and chatty cathy)
milk in glass bottles. with paper lids. and the cream floating on top.
villager sweaters
bermuda bags
red ball jets
tom terrific! (and mighty manfred, the wonder dog)
my mother the car :)

hehe.. that'll do for now...

My parent's house had this bizarre shag carpet with a mix of brown, orange, yellow, and black. I think I was lost in it at one point.

There was also the huge ass collars on dress shirts.

Battlestar Galactica toys that caused children to choke.

Evil Kenevil toys

Star Wars toys

GI Joe dolls that were about 5 times the current size of GI Toy action figures
