Their sofas may suck, but the Poang chair is pure awesome.
Beautiful and comfortable.
They also have a kid sized version of the chair too.
For the little one in your house.
As long as you don't ever have to sit in the damn thing.Originally posted by: NSFW

Dont get anything that gets repetitive stress such as their beds or sofas. But everything else works damn well. The Jerker was the best desk ever and I have one of their big ass bookcases. I've also used several coffee tables, lamps, clocks. The stuff looks nice and is functional
They have solid wood beds. We had one, and it held up alright. It's not the nicest looking thing, but it met our only requirement - it didn't require a box spring. We couldn't fit our queen sized box spring up our stairs.
Our Ikea couch has also held up fine for 5 years.

I'm not sure what Ikea, Walmart, and the alike have that compel women to shop there. Ikea quality are just about as good as Walmart quality and their products are a small notch above Dollar Stores specials.
My sisters, ex, and friends wives spends boat load of money on highly uncomfortable & flimsy Ikea furniture.
Buy Ikea if you want to please your lady friends, but IMHO Sears is one of the best place to get relatively good quality furniture for your money.

Craig list is another great place to look for good used furniture if you don't have the cash.

IKEA is great if you love to take a day or two off to put all your shit together. We just bought: 3 dressers, 2 night stands, 3 beds, tv stand, desk & bookshelf, 2 work chairs, assorted other crap and it was a great deal. We have spent the past 3 nights after work putting shit together and are still not done yet. Great stuff if you have the patience and a another set of hands to help you assemble. Had I known they provided it, I'd have paid one of their contractors to come out and do this assembly. Maddening.
